Justin Houston set to meet with Dr. James Andrews this week..


Now, they've said this check up was going to occur during the bye week. Here we are, on Thursday, and nothing has came out yet. So I would assume that at any time in the next couple of days there will be news coming.

This is what our season hinges on in many ways obviously, folks. It's clear at this point that this is our most valuable football player and without him, we may not even sniff the playoffs, much less the Super Bowl.

As soon as news comes about, post it in this thread here if you'd like. Here's to hoping that this news will be very good as the Chiefs regroup for the last 3 quarters of the season..

The odds of him being 100% before next year seem low.

I have a feeling we're going to be crying for quite a while about what could have been last year with a healthy Maclin and Houston in the playoffs. No one was that strong last year except Carolina. I really think we reach the superbowl with those two healthy.

I agree with this. Players come back from things that would have forced them to retire from 15 years ago.

Lots of guys come back just as good if not better, you know, like Von Miller.

I just think it is going to take him a couple games to get back to the point were he flash anything near what he used to be able to do. Just because he is back in Uni doesn't mean he is going to have a 2 sack game. Just look at what they did with Charles last week.

I am guessing if no further set backs he plays by week 9 and returns to form around week 11 or 12.

Incorrect.

I said that I hoped he would be back at the beginning of the year, but the realistic expectation is after the bye...even that was just being optimistic as it won't be the Raider game that he returns.

Also, what a shitty site the OM is.

There are literally ONLY a dozen quality posters there MAX and the mods are total cowards. They literally ban people that don't circle jerk the Broncos 24/7.

I got threatened with a ban for saying Macus Peters was the best DB in the last couple drafts, right after he was drafted.

If I wasn't banned currently, I'd link the other posts I've been banned for or been threatened with a ban for.

most of the good posters from there have left because of how rediculous the circle jerk has become.

I'm not concerned about the defense after the Raiders game, as the Chiefs have a fairly favorable schedule with the Saints (who suck) at home, the Bucs (who suck) at home, the Jaguars (who suck) at home, a pretty bad Colts team on the road and a Panther's team that has yet to find its identity or groove. I don't think 4-2 is unrealistic during that stretch.

Where Houston would really be welcome is at Denver on 11/27 and at Atlanta on 12/4. Those are going to be very difficult games and while a healthy Houston doesn't guarantee a win, I think the Chiefs stand a better chance if he's back.

I can easily see the Chiefs ripping off four in a row to end the season because their lone road game will be against San Diego, who's not only lost Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead but Jason Verrett for the season, too.

That said, 10-6 won't likely win the division, so the sooner the better for Houston.
