I've been around him a few times and he's always been very nice and accommodating to fans. But he really seems to have a thing about being underappreciated by current ownership or something.

dude
people were questioning my allegiances in the Cards official thread the other day but I have SO MANY Royals AT THE K stories it's not even funny it helps that my Dad was a single father to three kids and he was a cheap guy and the best entertainment he liked to provide us was free Royals tickets because we ****ing sucked so bad and he got them from his work like every day I probably got about 150 baseball from age 4-10 and that's not even an understatement I almost made the play of my life as a 16 year old when Jeremy Giambi turned on a ball down the right field line...****ing front row...everyone backed off...I stuck my hand out to catch it... BOOM! CHOKE! HITS HAND HITS LADY NEXT TO ME LANDS IN HER POPCORN My hand hurts... she gets ball I literally choked on 4 foul balls in my life at the K finally snagged one at...US ****ing Cellular |

Love 'em, man. But I am a Cubs fan. I just don't see how that makes me a bad person. When I was 3 years old my parents divorced and my mom moved to Illinois and my dad got transferred to Kansas. All of my formative years were spent in Kansas while I spent summers in Illinois.
I hate bandwagon fans and I hate that some people think I'd ever do something like that. I would never. I'm a ****ing Chiefs fan for crying out loud. The Cubs are my 2nd favorite team and I share it with my stepdad. It means a lot. He was a great influence in my life growing up and he really got me into the Cubs. But, you know, ever since MLB.TV I've done nothing but root for the Royals. It's the Chiefs influence in my life. It feels SO ****ING GOOD cheering for a team that fails so long and FINALLY breaks through. Cardinals fans can't feel this right now. They win every year. They expect it. This? This is unbelievable. ROYALS AND CUBS FAN IN CASE THAT POST WASN'T CLEAR. |
