If he stays out of the clubs he will be.
I wouldn't have taken him, frankly, but his upside is the best in this draft at CB...

Yeah Yeah Yeah Blah Blah Blah. Too much baggage. Failed drug test, poor academics, choking a coach, getting kicked off the team. He's got talent but, our O-line sucks and we now have one good receiver. Sure hope he pans out.

What I gather:
If we hit, he's a potential top 5 CB. If we miss, he's a guy that flashes brilliance but typically underachieves. Worst case scenario, he has serious off the field issues and is out of the league in a few years. |

I think that the Chiefs coaches, especially Hall of Famer Emmitt Thomas, will not only coach up this kid on the field, but life as well. The Chiefs also have a very good locker room and I'm sure that will help, big time.

At some point I expect him to **** up, hell, I'm sure he will, but he's the best CB prospect we've had since Dale Carter...

I wonder how much Sean Smith's suspension went into giving Reid bigger balls to pick a risky CB.
Our defense next year is going to be plain nasty. |
