Sutton Wish: Stop dropping our OLBs into coverage so much and let them hunt the QB. We have DJ and our Safeties for that responsibility.

Impressed: Travis Kelce, Cyrus Gray, D'Anthony Thomas, Dwayne Bowe (made some nice catches in traffic), Aggressive Alex Smith

Depressed:

Eric Fisher (it's not just the number of times he gets beat... it's the number of times he gets beat silly, the lack of technique, the way he consistently gets put on skates off the snap)

Conservative Alex Smith. Smith made some nice throws early and actually fit the ball into windows a couple of times (2 passes to Dwayne Bowe for first downs stand out in that regard). But they go really conservative afterwards. Part of that is Alex. Part of that is play-calling. But still depressing.

Secondary. It's still looking like hot garbage. They struggled to cover up a pair of journeyman 3rd/4th receivers and a raw, rookie WR in Kelvin Benjamin tonight.

John Lynch. Lynch spent so much time going out of his way to falsely praise Alex Smith (Talking about what a big arm he had, comparing him to Manning, Brady, etc), I honestly wondered if Lynch is represented by Smith's agent and trying to do a little work for him.

I'm pretty sure Lynch's agent was David Dunn. The connection is Lynch is from San Diego.

They seemed to drop back more than ever last night. I think he specifically practicing that in a live game situation. I wouldn't worry about too much.

I mean Travis Kelce legitimately looks like Gronkowski but he's running with 2s & 3s behind Fasano. Im not betting he catches 80 balls yet.

I'm breaking down the first Q now, and the 2 biggest fails so far are Fisher and Allen.

I think Stephenson was worse than Fisher. He really sucked last night.

Steph is definitely having a few terrible fails so far.. and that's just the 1st Q.

Towards the end of this quarter, Fasano is making my list as a cancer.. after the OPI and then being unable to secure the pass on the 4 yd line.

He looked like he ****ed up on that one. It was supposed to be a cut block and Hardy juked him. That, and the holding call were really his only bad plays of the night imo. He looked good on 90% of the plays. He's getting better imo.
