Good DCs know how to mask personnel deficiencies and put your personnel in the best place to succeed based on their talents. Sutton's scheme is a one trick pony which only works against poor quarterbacks who aren't accurate enough or can't read the field well enough to beat man coverage. There's a reason why teams have ran rub routes ALL DAY on us for MONTHS to incredible success. He doesn't know how to adjust and has no answer for it.

From Colts radio "for some reason the chiefs quit blitzing in the 2nd half"

Only Sutton could **** up this bad. I don't care how hot Luck was.
You have how many pro-bowlers? How many all-pros? And with all this, you couldn't ****ing stop him from scoring 4 TDs in 1 half of football? Sutton has no business being on this team with a performance like that. |

If Bob Sutton had any balls he'd quit before they got on the plane.
Not that I care... |

Our defense relaxed and got Andrew Luck's right arm shoved up their collective azzes. When it started getting close, both sides of the ball choked. And choked hard. |

Andy and Dorsey can redeem themselves this offseason by firing Bob Sutton and replacing him with Horton or Phillips. That will keep me interested and hopeful. I believe they will do the right thing

It's not even the lack of blitzing that baffles me in the second half.. It's that there is no imagination with the pass rush or scheme in general... No stunts, no delayed pursuit, I'm not sure Hali or Houston dropped into coverage once the entire game.. He does nothing but rush 4 straight up and then leave his CB's out on an island. Smart QB's will disect this strategy every time.

He should be fired. How can you not even attempt a blitz when Luck is just killing you. You gotta go after him a few times at least. No excuse for blowing a lead that big.

The Colts had a banged up secondary and they were sending the house on us in the second half with blitzes. While BOB sat idle.

They stopped blitzing. I didn't have a problem with Sutton most of the year. His conservative third quarter defense was just. ..
