Justin Houston will get a long term deal done!

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole has said the Chiefs have confirmed getting a long term deal done with Justin Houston despite initial hesitation

He said he will get north of what Robert Quinn makes and south of what JJ Watt makes.

Also said Chiefs didn't like his leadership and had poor work ethic but since the start of the season it has done a complete 180. Said the Chiefs see this as good use of money to invest in this type of player

Here's the tweet, since Penbook is inept at embedding:

I won't believe it until I see a slideshow with "10 Details About Justin Houston's New Deal."

I wanna know where Cole is getting his reports about poor work ethic and leadership issues. Those are pretty damning claims. Better have something to back it up when you tear a guy down like that.

Don't curr.

It's Smith's job to be a leader.

It's Houston's job to DESTROY...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

0 sacks in the last 2 games . . . hope that isn't a trend. He is getting dropped into coverage and playing contain a lot (particularly against Seattle).

I bet "work ethic and leadership" means "leadership heard he was routinely smoking pot still" and that he quit this year.

The way the guy improved since we drafted him shows that he studies his craft a lot and is very coach able. I don't buy that anything came from the coaching staff.

He's having an impact elsewhere in the games. In case you're unaware, which I'm sure you are, Houston is often asked to do many things other than rush the passer.

I'd actually appreciate it if you shut your ****ing mouth when his name is brought up. You clearly don't know shit.

Had a sack and forced fumble called back on a stupid penalty that was nowhere near the play yesterday, as well as a couple of tackles where Wilson just barely squeezed across the line.

Yeah, it wasn't so much the leadership thing that bugged me. It was the work ethic accusations that got me.

More so, though, it's just the lack of accountability in reporting these days. It seems accusations can be thrown around by any slapdick reporter at will without any evidence backing them up.

Looks like you didn't read my full post, just saw the 0 sacks.

I recall watching him get burned to the outside by the Bill's Brown a few times. He's done a good job down field in coverage.

Yeah, I know. Plus Wilson is a damn hard QB to bring down because he is so shifty. He's like a jitterbug back there. It was so damn satisfying when Poe took him down though. That was a beautiful sack.

There isn't a LB top 10 in sacks that is as good in coverage as Houston...
