If it were Walt's dream, then why not have Skyler, Flynn, and Jesse all forgive him? Everyone acts like Walt found redemption, ignoring the fact that he still died hated by those closest to him. He certainly strove for redemption and tried to right his most grievous wrongs, however, in the end he died despised by those he supposedly loved.

The one thing I thought Gilligan could have done to increase killing potential:
Put an M134 minigun in the trunk at the beginning of S5 rather than an M60. Much higher cyclic rate, same caliber.

I have watched the first season and a half in about ten days. I just can't stop watching. I imagine Walt must tell Skylar about his drug money so every episode now I keep expecting him to just come out with it. I can't wait to see the reaction.

You are correct. From Wikipedia:
El Paso" was frequently covered by the Grateful Dead in concert. The song entered the band's repertoire in 1969, and remained there until the band's demise in 1995; in total, it was performed 389 times.[3] It was sung by rhythm guitarist Bob Weir, with Jerry Garcia contributing harmony vocals. On the album Ladies and Gentlemen... The Grateful Dead, Bob Weir introduces the song as the Dead's "most requested number." It was also recorded by The Mills Brothers. Maybe I'll see it on Friday or Saturday night. I do admit it is not one of my favorites. |

Revenge is never a straight line
It is a forest It's easy to forget where you came in and lose your way Hope Walt knows his daughter is still alive.

The entirety of Bierce's story is told from the POV of the narrator, whereas BB has dozens of scenes w/o Walt. It's similar in the "it was the dream/hallucination of a dying man", but no more.

The theory only applies to the finale, though. I need to rewatch, but my recollection is Walt is in every scene but one (Jesse's flashback/dream sequence).

We see Jesse in the lab after arising from his dream state, and in Skyler's phone conversation Marie is not present. In "AOaOCB" everything is seen from Farquhar's POV, even though there is an omniscient narrator "The man was a federal scout".
