This is actually a good test for Kerr. He has to step up and take control of the room. He needs to be sitting guys like Curry, Green, and Klay for their own good.

An oddly low energy game for such good teams. Looks like the Warriors will be playing to the bitter end now for that record. They should be able to get it as Kerr has shown absolutely no willingness to bench them.

For all you Warriors lovers, a question:
Are the Warriors going to break this Bulls record because they are that good or because the competition in the league is that bad? The 5th best team in the West is a team that has played with a bunch of journeyman scrubs in their lineup for much of the year due to injuries (Memphis). In 8th, we've got a mediocre .500 team who can't even play offense (Utah). Such things would have been unthinkable even a few years ago in the West where it would commonly take winning 50 games just to make the playoffs. And on the other side, you've got a total mess of a Cavs team in 1st in the East, with the Raptors (a team with only one good player) firmly in 2nd...teams that you could sadly very easily say are among the top 5 teams in the NBA. Then, of course, you've got the Spurs themselves who would have won 70 games had Pop actually played his starters instead of resting them whenever he got the chance. That's a feat that only two teams have ever done ever (the Jordan Bulls and now the Curry Warriors) and this year's version of the Spurs (with a hugely declined Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili) were right there too. Golden State is undeniably a great team, of course, but it is starting to look like the rest of the NBA is the weakest it has been in a long, long time. |

If we go strictly by records, then the 1995-1996 Bulls team had an easier schedule. That era of the NBA had some good teams, but not great with more HOFers on different teams. This years version doesn't have that many HOFers playing, especially at their prime. I would say it's very close. So, if the Warriors break that record it will put them in the top 10 teams of all time (provided they win the championship). However, I still don't think they are going to beat the record. Ohh and you had better believe the Spurs wanted to win that game last night, they just didn't.

I look forward to the 2nd round of the playoffs. The first round is utter shit. I wouldn't be surprised if every series in the West went 5 games or less.

Warriors going to beat the Spurs again to win 72 games. Not bad playing back to back games.

What an achievement by the defending champs. Now they need to go win it all again.
