Did Tony Stewart Kill Someone Tonight?

I'm seeing it on Twitter. On my phone and can't link. One of his fans says he ran over someone on a yellow and should be arrested for it.

So, Ruts in the dirt make no difference?

The race wasn't boring cause someone was ran over that has to be worth 100 points on a video game or something.

On a side note he had nothing to bitch about to begin with. The 14 had the position and he should have lifted. It has nothing to do with the outcome or is said to justify the outcome~

Not a chance he faces charges.
No it's not his fault for the guy running out. It's his fault for pressing the gas. And seeing as how he's done it multiple times as well, Tony can't say he was shocked to see an angry driver on the track.

And those "it's loud, its smoky, blah blah" excuses don't do anything for me. This guy is one of the best drivers in the WORLD. He has by far the best track awareness of any guy that was out there. He might not have wanted to run the guy over, but he certainly wasn't trying to avoid running him over either. A driver as good as he is who is used to cars that go 200MPH shouldn't have had that much issue controlling a car going 30MPH and offers a less obstructed view than normal NASCAR cars.

One night my psycho was driving drunk. He was tearing up yards and a football field and a library courtyard. In a very very small town. I ran out in the road because I'm insane, not in front of him, but to the side in some... um... stupid effort to wave him to a stop. He saw me at the last minute and swerved. Back of the car fishtailed and hit me. If a friends hand yanking me backwards wasnt there, id be dead too.

Just went to a monster truck show for father's day. A driver got pissed off at the lack of a red flag and stomped off the course. He crossed an entire demo x course while a race was in progress. Should have died 10 times over.

Anyone ever been to a small track where the hot head drivers NEVER threw their hand in the air like gorillas? It's what you people do. Even Danica.

Maybe we should start fining the tantrums. Death is a little extreme.

This is my view of the video, coming from someone that works on/builds race cars. You have Tony Stewart and Kevin Ward Jr. racing side by side down the front stretch. Stewart commits low, Ward commits high. Tony Stewart slides up into Wards line. Ward either smashes the brakes to avoid Stewart which could lead to other issues like getting hit from behind, losing multiple positions from loss of momentum or try to ride it out. Ward ends up jumping the berm which shoots him into the wall. If there was contact it wasn't a huge amount. Ward pissed off from Tony sliding clear up into him sticking him in the wall gets out. First car misses him. Then you see Ward walking in front of Tony, then at the last second trying to jump back seeing Tony isn't backing down. Once Ward gets to directly to Tonys right of the car, his vision will be obscured from the wing, seat head restraints, and lack of head movement to turn from a HANS device. Tony believing he has cleared Ward stabs the gas to say F U buddy, problem is Tony didn't clear and Ward is ran over and propelled due in part of the increased speed from the gas being stabbed. Tonys car lerches to the left not from a evasive move, but from running him over. You have to realize that Sprint cars are direct drive from engine to rear end, have one gear ratio and it's 1:1. So whatever RPM that engine just turned that tire just multiplied it.

Tony did not intend to hit Ward, but he did.

He didn't hook a rut, the car lerched left from A. Stabbing the gas and B. Running the guy over. At 30/35 normal caution speed with a car built to turn left with tire stagger. Besides on a wet track Sprints cars are going to continually blow the top off only rut will be the top berm which don't apply for Tony.
