Move with what money? My usual cushion in my checking account is $3-400. Not exactly enough to move on. There's finding a place to live, and paying for it. I'd have to find a job.

That's really where I'd lean if I left today. Find some land up in the mountains, somewhere that it's 70 degrees almost all the time. Build a house with no heat and no AC, no need for electricity most of the time. My wife would hate it for a while but she'd get into the routine.

If you have credit you can move to KC. How hard would it be to replace a job which affords you the lavish life of $3-400 dollars in a checking account?

You didn't say how life altering. Hell, I move to KC, meet some people, have a life, meet Mr Right, get married....major life alter.

You give me enough to live off of for about 5 years, pay for a college education, and moving expenses to say....Cali....hell yeah. However much that would be.

Dropping out of society would be awesome. I would love to move somewhere remote and be a sheperd or something. Of course, I would have to have a woman with me. I don't want solitude that much.

Pshaw. Move to KC on credit, enroll in school, get a part time job and take out student loans. This will carry you for at least four years, maybe five depending on what you study. The California part, of course, requires a lot more money but with your new college education you could do it in 4 years. Of course you would still probably have only $3-400 in your account if you move to Ca.
