Great series. I picked the Cavs in 7 and am standing by it. Champions are hard to kill.

Delly's playing excellent defense, but the help defense hs been flat-out outrageously good.

There's nothing special about their scheme. In fact, they helped let GS back in the game in the last minute precisely because they weren't denying Curry the ball on the in-bounds pass, which allowed him to get all those threes off.

The Cavs are playing well defensively through effort. They are closing out on shooters like madmen because the guys on the court are giving max effort on defense and not taking a breather so that they can stat whore on the other end (Love, Irving).

I couldn't figure out why they didn't even TRY to deny Curry the ball.

The scheme is pretty brilliant. They're eating up a ton of clock on offense to force Golden State to play half-court offense and slow down their pace. On defense, they are selling out 3 guys on the Splash Brothers. They basically have 1 guy covering both Green and Barnes/Iguodala, but they're sealing off all the passing lanes and the paint. For as good as Delly's defense has been, the defense on the switches (especially Tristan Thompson) has been incredible. People are starting to realize that the GS supporting cast may not be as good as advertised. If they're going to win, it's because either Cleveland ran out of gas or because Curry and Thompson have to shoot lights out against mostly contested shots.

The defense looked really good in game 1 too with Kyrie, even at half strength. He's actually been playing solid defense the last half of the year. I think Love is a stat whore. Kyrie's been a terrific team player this year. Blatt doesn't get credit enough. He's the only coach this playoff creative enough to counter Golden State like this, and he's gotten the team to hustle their ass off.

The GS supporting cast has been great all season.... you're not exposing anything. Green has a bad back, Iggy has been good and the other guys have been off. Still games left to play.

Delly has single handled Curry all series. Curry is his bitch right now. Really does all the small work. Going in for rebounds, after loose balls, saving balls out of bounds. Delly is a beast

I think Cleveland hopes Love opts out so they don't have to even think about him being on the team next year. What a colossal **** up that trade was. Hindsight, I know. But man, I feel robbed we didn't get to see Wiggins and LeBron.
