I'm no writer, so I'm not going to make up plot lines and pass them off as creative.
First, this should have been a 2-hour episode. They tried to cram WAY too much in an hour and the setups were so quick that it felt like there was a commercial interruption every 5 minutes. The setups to me felt a little forced, sometimes predictable, and sometimes a little sloppy or way too neat. =I get that this is fiction, but I don't feel like it's typical for Breaking Bad to layer in so many conveniences. Not ruling out that Gilligan maybe did that on purpose. Secondly, I would have liked to see more development of the situations Walt was trying to redeem. Walt's redemptions couldn't compare to the raw emotion of Jesse killing Todd. Again, maybe that was Gilligan's point. Reading the AVClub review, thought that was brilliant. Maybe the brilliance was in the simplicity of the whole thing. I just feel like the show went from being really careful about blurring the line between good/evil to creating a Bond like movie with an infallible hero and clear villains. |

I kinda feel like the Todd being obsessed with Lydia thing ended up being pretty pointless. I mean, I get that he wanted to continue cooking even after they stole all of Walt's millions because he wanted to still remain connected to Lydia, but aside from that I just kind of expected something else to happen with it. I expected her to fall at the hands of Todd and/or the Nazis.

If you need some more Louboutins in your life you should rent Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring.

I was sad to see Walt killed. I wish he would have been arrested so he could have had one last day in the spot light. |

I think it made perfect sense for Walt to die, because then you know the story is truly over.

I watched it again early this morning and it was fantastic.
There is nothing wrong with wrapping things up neatly. Walt finally took out the roadblock that kept ****ing up his plan to help his family: Himself. |

She allows for the construction of a believable revenge plot (the new cooking method he pitches to Todd), and keeping her in the picture allows the viewer the catharsis of watching the bitch die a miserable death because "she deserves to die as much as any man I've ever met."

She put a hit on Walt at the end of the meeting. "We'd be putting him out of his misery." Of course she's going to call to see if it went through.

I have no doubt she'll call, but at that precise moment, after the shooting, a millisecond after Jesse walked out.... Ehhhhh

To me, one word sums up the finale: satisfying. Lydia's sevia being poisoned? Satisfying. Walt popping uncle Jack in the head? Satisfying. Walt finally admitting he cooked because he wanted to? Satisfying. Elliot and Gretchen having the **** scared out of them? Satisfying. Jesse killing Todd? Satisfying. Jesse being freed? Satisfying.
Perfectly executed finale. What an unbelievable show. Can't believe it's over. |

First off Jessica Hecht will always be Ross' lesbian ex-wife, but it was even more disconcerting to see the return of Adam Godley as Elliot after his arc as Louis Litt's uber-British nemesis on Suits.
