What I gathered from the team's leadership, some top team operations guy, is they won't have to worry about mixing it up on the track anymore. I think that means the Mexican won't survive.

Carlos Slim, who supports the careers of Sergio Perez and former F1 driver Esteban Gutierrez. Slim was the driving force (money wise) behind getting an F1 race back on schedule for Mexico.

As calculated by Forbes magazine in August 2017, Slim is sixth richest person in the world. In 2010-2013 Slim were number one richest people in the world.

Haas F1 team boss Guenther Steiner fired Gutierrez at the end of the 2016 season for poor performance. Lessons for going forward - Never put your hands on your team boss following your costly mistakes on the track.

I think Gutierrez tried out for a seat in INDYCAR. Not sure if he was hired.
