I just won the draft /BossReach
Just kidding. But seriously, this pick just screams exactly what the Packers need. Perfect selection to get Dee Ford'd while Julius Peppers is still collecting a paycheck and remaining productive. Unlike Ford, he's a far more balanced prospect and better set up to become an eventual starter-- already has a pretty good array of pass rush moves. Just needs more strength and he's good to go. For once the Packers are going to get some LBs that aren't made of ****ing glass. The Green Bay Packers select Shilique Calhoun, DE/OLB, Michigan State DJ's Left Nut has been PM'd |

Mother **** the guy that took Vonn Bell; he'd have been perfect for Pitt.
And Calhoun may have been the other guy I took; almost took him for NYG. Gimme a minute, my draft board is at work so I need to re-assess...

He did sooooooooo poorly at the combine.
That said, had he performed for shit, he'd have been a fringe first rounder and never would've been available here. His tape is good and he has a nose for the ball; something this secondary desperately needs. So the Steelers will continue to rebuild their shit defensive backfield with the selection of Darian Thompson, SS, Boise State If this draft falls apart, this will be where. If Thompson bombs his pro day, he honestly has a chance to go undrafted. Safeties can't go running in the 4.7 range and make a roster. The fact that he performed like a lineman across the board makes me believe that perhaps the illness excuse is legit. Nobody that slow, that stiff and that weak could really have performed as he did in college. I believe he'll be back on track for his pro day and re-establish his mid-early 2nd pedigree, making this a nice little bargain pickup for a team that needs to take its secondary down to the studs and start from scratch.

I wouldn't have a problem with any of those guys, but I would probably go with Javon Hargrave.
Solid pick and solid draft so far for the Chiefs. |
