Royals DON'T buy WS tickets at current prices - Page 28

I have a few friends that deal in the secondary market professionally here in KC. (Not scalpers, technically. These guys have offices and pay taxes.) I've been told by, literally, all of them not to buy until at least Monday. All three that I've called about tickets have told me they have them, but that no one is buying at current prices...even on StubHub. They say that by game day they expect prices to drop dramatically. One even saying he expects SRO to fall to around $250 and then for prices to increase incrementally from there. He basically said people are throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks at this point, and that nothing is sticking.

Again, I went to HS with 2 of these guys, so them not trying to stiff me isn't a surprise...even though it's basically what they do for a secondary income.

If you have the scratch to buy now, go ahead I guess. But if you're on a budget, I wouldn't rule out going to a game just yet.

some buddies invited me to Buffalo Wild Wings for the game, so I'm going to go and watch there. I don't wanna watch alone tonight, cuz, you know, if we lose ...

Maybe it has been answered, but I didn't find the answer to the question, and really don't want to go back to beginning of this thread and try to find it.

Is a hard-copy ticket/paper ticket required, or can they scan off of your phone when you make a purchase?

they can scan off your phone

so if you could get through on 4G at the stadium, the best way to do this would be to wait until 7 PM and buy a ticket on your phone through the stubhub app

however, based off of experience at Chiefs games, you can't break through on their wireless or 4G because EVERYONE is using it...

so you could probably party at The K until 6:15 or so and then hike across the street or a mile away and wait, buy a ticket, and miss a half inning

I'm willing to bet you'll be able to get in tonight for less than $100 if you wait until 7

the issue is

if there are any hiccups around 7 PM for tickets bought on your phone, the tickets are no longer for sale as soon as 7:07 hits CST on stubhub

best scenario would to be for a friend of yours to watch tickets up until 7 PM at home, tell him you want the best possible price under $200 for the best possible ticket

I bet he can find lower level tonight for under $200 around 7

then he buys

you get into your email somehow...pop up the ticket

and boom

done

if this ever happens again, that's what I'm doing
