Earl Thomas a longshot to be a Chief

They just said on ESPN we were on the list of teams that he could be dealt to.

Over Murray? That's a instant upgrade, in my opinion. Murray doesn't seem to have the football IQ.

Honestly, would a current FA safety be an better option?

I wouldn’t pay him that much now. Over 30 and injuries are creeping up

How good is Tyronne Mathieu? Is he worth giving up a higher pick for? Would he stay on the field if/when Berry comes back and supplant Ron Parker?

Coming off an ACL, they probably didn't want to take the chance. Now that he looks good again, maybe they'll be willing to pull the trigger on a trade for a mid round pick

Why does it always have to be about next year?

He’s on a 1 year deal.

If they were to trade him, you could probably flip like a 5tj

I never read a thing about the Chiefs and him in the offseason, but I will admit, I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention until about week 3 of the preseason.

Well, to be honest with you, I have not had an opportunity to watch him play, so I cannot say with my eye test. Additionally, PFF is unreliable on just utilizing it alone, so without seeing him actually play, I can't say.

That being said, just using strictly PFF, it has rated him #24 S in the NFL, with a score of 72.3, which is above average rating.

Ironically, same PFF has rated Murray as a #59 S in the NFL, with a score of 58.1, which is average rating. But I'm not seeing that on the eye test for Murray.

I'd flip at least a cond. 3rd for him no doubt and yeah he would replace Ron Parker.

Heck I don't remember that but if it's true then there might actually be a decent chance of a trade happening

Brett Veach himself said we were interested if we could figure out the money.
