Though obviously not the most important point, it can't be coincidental that the egomaniacal Walter White died in the middle of Jesse Pinkman's meth lab.

Bringing back Gretchen and Elliot was a great move to help tie loose ends.

So after looking like Walt was going to die as a hermit in the wilderness alone with his money, he pretty much won after all. His family is going to get the 9 million dollars, he saved Jesse, and he killed Jack and all of his goons. And Jesse got to kill Todd.
And the way he did it all was believable. Magnificent ending. |

Perfect ending.
Walt admits to Skyler that it was ego fueled. He gets to say goodbye to his daughter, and see his son one last time. He's still able to secure his family's future through Gretchen and Elliot. And those goddamned Aryan mother****ers got they caps peeled. I suppose it's poetic that Walt dies by his own hand, gives Jesse his attempt for vengeance that Jesse, being Jesse, won't take. I would have shot Jack a few more times to make sure he suffered before killing him, that's my only qualm

And just to be clear: I posted that right after the Jesse making the box scene. That perfectly encapsulated the wasted lives of so many people who go down the wrong path and squander their potential, whether through drugs or other bad choices. Whoever refreshed us on the backstory of the box when the discussion of woodworking in the finale came up did us all a favor in letting us see the true depth of that scene. I'm not sure i would have remembered Jesse's story of making the box for his mom without this forum.
