Ecuador blew it. They even had a chance to win it and didn't take it. They paid the price.

That literally had it all. Stoppage time, Ecuador in a very dangerous position. A daring and potentially lethal slide tackle in the penalty box. A trip on fast break the other way resulting in head over heels, promptly back up and recovering possession, ref with wisdom to allow continuation, great goal, whistle.

Have you ever fallen to the ground hard when running full speed? Even if your head does not hit the turf you still get somewhat of a 'whiplash' sort of effect that can hurt like hell.
