Royals DON'T buy WS tickets at current prices - Page 27

I have a few friends that deal in the secondary market professionally here in KC. (Not scalpers, technically. These guys have offices and pay taxes.) I've been told by, literally, all of them not to buy until at least Monday. All three that I've called about tickets have told me they have them, but that no one is buying at current prices...even on StubHub. They say that by game day they expect prices to drop dramatically. One even saying he expects SRO to fall to around $250 and then for prices to increase incrementally from there. He basically said people are throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks at this point, and that nothing is sticking.

Again, I went to HS with 2 of these guys, so them not trying to stiff me isn't a surprise...even though it's basically what they do for a secondary income.

If you have the scratch to buy now, go ahead I guess. But if you're on a budget, I wouldn't rule out going to a game just yet.

For Game 6, without a title on the line, its probably not worth finding out.
But for Game 7...

I posted this in the Royals Game thread, but thought I'd post it in here.

Unfortunately, I feel like crap today so I'm trying to unload my pair of tickets for tonight's game. Lower level, sec 213, row TT. I paid $800 for the pair through the Royals when they originally went on sale. That's all I'm asking. Just want FV back.

I would probably spend about 40 or 50 dollars. Anymore than that and I can watch it from my couch.

Heh, the kid wins out 99.99% of the time (what can I say, I'm not a perfect dad). If game 7 was tonight, I probably would have a decision to make (but even that said, I know how I would lean).

9000 left for game 7. I'm guessing with a W prices will sky rocket? Still seems odd for so many to be out since you can get a refund.

T-Minus 4 hours 30 Minutes until Game Time and there are still ~2600 Tickets remaining. Great prices, for a WS game

We did that for game 2. Waited until 6:55 standing right outside the gate and got a pair of club level behind home plate for $450 each. The people next to us paid $1200 each. Try it out.

Yep. Saw on stubhub before even game 1 you could get a ticket right behind Marlins guy for $483. When it gets down to the wire on stubhub it's get whatever you can and cut your losses

T-Minus 3 Hours 30 Minutes and 1490 tickets remain, 1100 tickets sold in a hour

just saw 202 and 208 for Hy Vee OF seats

well, if we ever make the WS again, we'll know what to do next time

wait until an hour before the games, or 30 mins...and make sure you have a reliable internet connection

maybe $50 for SRO

I've been refreshing only because it piques my curiosity and the best two I've seen, still, have been $200 tickets.
