What is your stance on aliens?

I am curious to see where everyone stands on this. Asking about a stance on UFOs could be a different topic with different options so feel to give your thoughts on that as well.

And unequivocally no, it would not be easy to prove you wrong. Because no matter what source, story, or evidence is presented, someone else can easily cast doubt on that character giving you an easy out to not have to entertain the idea that the source of information is actually being truthful about their experiences with ships, living aliens, or bodies.

I'm not sure what you mean. Employees telling stories supports the idea that the government could never contain that kind of secret even if it tried. Not to mention that UFOs are a global phenomena not limited to a single government.

In addition, the world has more surveillance now than at any point in history. There are many thousands of high definition video cameras recording the earth at all times. There are astronomical recordings of the sky happening continuously all around the globe. One government, or even a bunch of governments working together, couldn't even begin to contain it.

That's why the stories of UFO/Aliens was created by teh government....as a coverup for their own technology.

What makes you think the general public couldn't handle it? The general public can handle the knowledge that the entire world could be blown up at any minute if somebody pushes the wrong button and triggers nuclear Armageddon. They can handle the knowledge that virtually everybody dies in less than 100 years on this planet. They can handle the knowledge that millions of people die every day from uncureable diseases, and that millions more die unexpectedly every day due to accidents and homicides. The general public is not going to suddenly flip out and riot if they learn that space aliens actually do exist. In the grand scheme of things, the existence of space aliens is pretty insignificant compared to the other things people have to deal with and worry about. It would be a big story for a while, and then most people would lose interest and go back to their humdrum lives.

Of course I don't trust the government to tell the public everything. However, your argument has basically the same problem that other huge conspiracy theories have: as much as they might like to be able to do so, the government couldn't pull it off.

The existence of space aliens would be one of the biggest stories in the history of civilization. I have no doubt that the United States government could WANT to keep the whole thing secret, and might even have the balls to ATTEMPT to keep the whole thing secret. However, I do not believe this government or any government could really successfully pull it off. Do I have definitive proof that it couldn't? Of course I don't. But I think this is a case where Occam's Razor actually applies: the simplest solution is the correct one, and the simplest solution is that we have no evidence of space aliens because space aliens haven't visited us.

Bullshit. It's easy to cast doubt on a story that is based strictly on strange movement of lights in the sky. It's a much different thing to cast doubt on a story where there is tangible evidence to support it.

That is my point. Former government employees and military officials do make fascinating claims. If the argument is that even the highest security clearance people don't know anything and the idea supporting this is because they wouldn't be able to keep it secret, therefore there is no presence or evidence of aliens here, then that argument doesn't hold water.

Also, UFOs is different than aliens, so although UFOs is a global phenomenon, that doesn't mean evidence of aliens (landings that leave evidence, crashes with bodies, contact, etc.) is also something that has happened everywhere.

Again, they aren't pulling it off. There are countless examples of people in government and the military telling their stories about aliens after retiring or doing so anonymously. You seem to want them to show the physical evidence of their stories but that is an unreasonable request. I don't think anyone is sneaking any alien bodies out of a lab anywhere.
