It's sad to read that some can't enjoy football and not stress over the disappointments it often brings. Easy for me to say, right? "My team" wins too much for me to ever know your pain. I get that. Thing is.. I am also a Cubs fan.. so from that alone, I doubt I even need to explain how people can now cease their cries of "you could never understand our pain and why we are now apathetic." If people here would just stop spending so much time talking about each other... and just focusing on the actual topic at hand.. oh, how sweet that would be. ( I get the irony, but consider cause and effect first ) Peace.

For whatever reason, people don't like what I say about the Chiefs. But I don't go around attacking people. In almost EVERY case where I've blown up at somebody it's because they responded to my FOOTBALL opinion with a PERSONAL attack. I respond to personal attacks with personal attacks. As do a lot of people here. Quote:

I'm not whining about anything. I'm pointing out hypocrisy. It gets pretty tiring when people can't just talk football and have to resort to personal attacks. Ironic, especially when the people that do most of the attacking use that EXACT argument when people fight back. If you have to put it up with it too, I wouldn't expect you to just let it slide. You don't have even the slightest inclination to stick up for yourself? |

Throwing deep with decent accuracy.
Bombing and running just isn't enough, theres a lot more that goes into it than that... Harbaugh made a big mistake with Smith, he got caught up in the flash and forgot the substance. |

I'm not all that convinced that Harbaugh isn't too smart for his own good. He seems to be an "I'm just that much smarter than you" kind of guy. He's a good coach, no doubt but he just comes of as such a jerk.

You could have just as easily said, they switched teams to follow the former white quarterback that the coach had replaced with a black quarterback with lots of tattoos. Sure you can come back and point out a bunch of stuff that you've said positive about each and plead innocence, but the inferences are there.

Any reason you couldn't, or wouldn't, phrase it 'switch allegiances because they felt their coach let go of the superior QB.' Your phrasing clearly and reasonably suggests that they were stupid and jumped allegiances to follow a 2nd rate [the very definition of backup in QB terms] QB.

People are now just allowed to add whatever meaning they want to someone else's thoughts? I made a factual comment. There was absolutely no malice or inferred slight on Alex Smith. The fact that people continue insist there was, despite me repeatedly saying there wasn't, isn't reasonable. It's pure 100% agenda. |

This is EXACTLY like 1998. Many people felt like Gannon was the superior QB but Grbac was the starter. Gannon ultimately lost the job and went to the Raiders. How many people from the old star BB became Raiders fans because of that? Exactly. |

That would be like Chiefs fans rooting for the Dolphins because the Chiefs traded Chase Daniel to Miami. |
