I renew my request for the state to legislate a redirection all of MIZZOU's sports support/money to STEM related classes. The department is beyond fixing (by the group of dickholes who have been placed in leadership roles and entrusted with a turnaround), so it's time to give up and admit they just can do it.

Minimally they should be moved out of the SEC, moved into the Missouri Valley, and moved to being a D2 program. They simply can't attract good enough players or coaches.

I think the SEC business office, not the teams who see us as an almost guaranteed "W", might be wishing a better program had come into the SEC. MIZZOU has watered-down the SEC. It's sad, but it's true nonetheless.

The problem with Cross's defense is two-fold

1) Mizzou does not have the players to run it
2) SEC teams are designed to exploit its greatest weakness.

A 4-2-5 begs teams to run the ball down your throat. And that's exactly what LSU, Florida, and Kentucky have done. And without guys like Brantley or Beckner inside to hold up at the point of attack, our DTs get completely washed out of every play (in part because they are frozen by their reads), and then the linebackers, who are completely overmatched, get dominated again and again.

You could not design a worse defense for this team to run than the TCU defense Cross brought in. Now, Odom completely scrapped Cross' system (which was the right move), but it has led to the team being stuck between two systems and totally paralyzed.

Just put in a 4-3 stack, find good defensive ends, and get a slot corner for nickel packages instead of trying to re-invent the wheel.

They went to the SEC title game twice (although one really shouldn't count lol). Vanderbilt has watered down the competition forever and not a single shit has been given.

I don't think it really matters what scheme they run. They just don't handle fundamentals of football.

This team looks unprepared, which makes me suspect that camp and practices are country club.
