Misc Hanging Out In Your Driveway/Garage - Page 26

We have some new neighbors. To be blunt, they don't exactly fit in to our neighborhood. The are displaying some anomalous behavior, such as sitting in lawn chairs just inside their garage. Why would they want to do that? They have a backyard, and a rather nice deck and lawn upon which to place said lawn chairs. What's so fascinating about the front? Don't they want some privacy?

Yesterday, these people inflated some kind of pool thing, filled it with water and all got inside of the pool. Again, on the driveway. Why?

Also, at present count, there are four people living in the home. Yet, they have six vehicles. Why?

Got the grill and some chairs in the driveway, gonna turn on some tunes and have a cookout out there tonight, I sure hope I don't have any Dongers in my neighborhood.

Getting ready to build me a party shed. Place to hang out, cook, drink, multiple tv's....

Yeah i like to hang out in the garage or driveway and drink/cook....

Not enough people hanging out on the front porch being friendly anymore...

They are all HOA controlled around my area. But most of them are a joke. I dont have a problem with them per se, but I have seen them pick on people, and it was obvious they were doing it.

This thread is much more relevant to me now than when it was started. One of our neighbors across the street to the side of our house (we're on a corner) does this. The guy has an engine hoist in his garage and seems to constantly be working on a car in there. He seems to have friends over hanging out in the garage and driveway till 11pm more nights than not.

Doesn't really bother me, and they're not real loud or anything, but it's kind of weird to me.

hanging out in the garage, because there's a fridge in there and just as a hub of male activity, is not weird.

hanging out in the driveway, setting up chairs in the driveway, that's weird.

on my way home yesterday I saw a guy sitting in a lawn chair in his driveway. he was shirtless and there was a cooler next to his chair. he was just drinking beer watching the traffic go by.

That's weird.

I had a buddy show up friday night around 5 pm and we went to town drinking the freshly stocked beer from my man fridge in the shop. I went out back in alley and saw my neighbor walking around his back yard. I invited him over as well. 15 minutes later, another buddy shows up and we sat around in chairs at the edge of the shop and the alley, bullshitting until about 11 pm, listening to tunes and drinking beer. Great time, but driving 330 miles to Idaho Falls the next morning was a bitch!

I cant wait to get started on it... Probably a 15X20 building with a porch and a patio out back.. Nothing but for hanging out, eating and drinking...

When I complete it, come to OKC, bring a lawn chair and be prepared to eat and drink until you pass out...

My family has always did this, and so does everyone that lived around us. Then again were white trash so I don't know the standard bearer.

Tonight we sat in our garage and watched the rain. That's because we don't see that much rain in New Mexico. It's newsworthy in these parts.
