The point is they are basically the same, and probably would have had the same results last year with either quarterback.

Geno had more pure offense under that comparison.

If JC wasn't turning dump offs into long TD's Alex wouldn't even be close :/

And Geno wasn't even very good, that's the sad part.

Geno threw another 1.5 picks per game. That's a considerable difference.

Chiefs were going to be better last year under Alex Smith however there is a decent chance they may be better off in the long term with Geno. Chief fans don't have the patience to wait for a player like Geno to develop. You've seen how many trash him after one year.

Did you happen to see Alex Smiths first couple of years? That my friends is pure comedy.

Geno's OL was far better than ours last year. First half of the year this OL struggled so much.

Yep
A rookie behind this line could of been a disaster.

Geno Smith has been sacked 28 times overall, but only five (17.9 percent) of them are short sacks. Another eight (28.6 percent) are normal sacks and a whopping 15 (53.6 percent) are long sacks

Chiefs fans don't deserve a franchise QB. They don't have the patience it requires to groom and let him grow. They only care about "what can he do for me RIGHT NOW?"

It would certainly be interesting to see how people reacted. Last year everyone here insisted Geno was a bust.

Well, not everyone.

But the same people want to give an average 30-year old all this time and leeway to improve.

Hilarious.

It's still ****ing pathetic as dildos. We've only rolled the dice on Brodie Croyle, Matt Blundin, and Mike Elkins.

For a franchise as QB-starved as the Chiefs in that time, that is simply appalling.
I'm not saying K.C. shouldn't have been looking at QBs over the years. I'm just pointing out, again, that all the bitching, specifically about 1st round picks not being made in recent years, has been really stupid, since they haven't been missing on 1st round QBs in recent years.

We could have taken Foles or Geno in the first, though.

No worse than taking a bum like EJ Manuel there.
