Empire Strikes back was pretty good.

Phantom Menace wasn't horrible but pretty ****ing annoying too.

I was thinking that the next movie is going to have a huge plot or subplot about Darth Emo being trained by Snoke and Rey being trained by Luke, and then they'll have some sort of major showdown at the end. At that point Darth Emo informs Rey that Han was father to both of them. Perhaps he has also killed Leia at that point. Then she freaks out, almost killing him out of rage, and comes dangerously close to flipping to the Dark Side, only to be removed from the fight by a deus ex machina plot twist. Then on to the next movie.

According to the script, she was close to "the Dark Side" when she almost killed Emo.

Like I've said before, it would be cool if they "flipped the script", with Ben becoming a "light side Jedi" battling Rey, the Sith.

Yeah, something like that came across a bit in the movie. I got the feeling that she was going to kill him if those fractures hadn't opened up and separated them. I was thinking that she's basically raw Force right now with only her psychological/emotional stability holding her back from going Dark. I think it would be really fun to see Luke try to deal with that.

I could see that happening and it really would be totally believable. They are setting her up to be a bad ass right now. She's my favorite character in the movie.

It's funny. They have Darth Emo basically worshiping Vader and wanting to be just like him...but Rey is the female Young Adult version of Anakin from The Phantom Menace.

oh please no......you got to much hollywood in you now.

That cheap ass plot trick never works. Heroes was a series with a lot of promise and then in the 2nd season they decide to do the flip. Ruined the series.

Rey has tremendous potential to join the Dark Side. All it would take would be for Darth Emo to come after her in round two during training. But when he shows up Luke and Leia happen to be meeting, and he kills Luke just as Rey shows up. They fight and Darth Emo reveals that Han and Leia are her parents. He then kills Leia but has become too weakened from the prolonged battle and escapes back to Snoke. Rey then goes on a seek-and-destroy mission but finds only Snoke and kills him as she finally gives herself completely to the Dark Side. We are left at the end of the movie with two Sith and now everybody's ****ed. Great cliff hanger.

Luke could have been sending her the visions. Perhaps he was on that island waiting for someone to come along who was a strong enough Force user to be his next student. Once he became aware of her he caused her to show up on his doorstep.

Cheap? How would it be "cheap" for Rey and Ren to flip places?

We've already seen Ren clearly struggle with his allegiance to the Dark Side. To see him go back to the "Light" after killing his father and the enduring love of his mother wouldn't be "cheap".

Conversely, we know next to nothing about Rey.

For all we know, she's from Palpatine's bloodline.

Ren flipping would make sense. He already is struggling.

I'm okay with Rey flirting with the dark side. Don't all Jedi's struggle with that.

I was seeing it the 2nd time and was thinking she is going to go to the dark side in II and then redeems herself, goes to the light and saves the day in III. Then I thought that would be so cliche that it wouldn't happen.

Been reading up on her bloodline theories.....Leaning towards the Obie Won granddaughter theory.

That's probably what's going to happen. The next film will be Rey's fall and Ben's redemption, and then the third is him redeeming her.

She has a lot of anger in TFA.
