Hosmer would've hammered a screaming 3 hop grounder at Richardson.

Winning 3 of 4 from Boston would be nice.

I'm not planning on starting another game thread until Sunday, by the way.

Can we talk about the season Wade Davis is having?!

Will I ever see something as good as this from a Royals reliever again?!

No, probably not. This is probably one of the best seasons in MLB history for a reliever, and he didn't even make the All-Star team because of that damn Yankee......

I clearly said Royals but can we argue the former?

this is the best season a reliever has ever had...in MLB history

that's how dominant Wade Davis is

he is UNHITTABLE

I know you can't do this, Ned couldn't do it, Tony LaRussa couldn't do it...NOBODY could do it. But the 9th should be Wade's and, more realistically going forward, any time we need to get out of a jam after the 7th inning Wade should be the one coming into the game.

He is our best reliever and it's not close...and we have two all-star caliber relievers behind him. It's insane.

James turned this trip from a possible 1-5 into a 3-3. He was so intense these two starts and it was awesome to watch. Last 3 he's gone 22IP with 1 earned run. Of we can just get a chance in the playoffs with this hoss.....

A's-Mariners this weekend. Indians-Tigers, too. We can do ourselves a lot of favors by taking at least 3 of 4 from Boston.

The Red Sox are a shell of an MLB team. Pedroia's gone now too, and no one in that AA lineup, sans Bogaerts and maybe Ortiz, can hurt you with the bat.

They smelled to me like a team that's quit the last three days, and you guys ought to work 'em.

The A's lost again. They are now 9 games back of the division. That is incredible.

They're still in a WC spot, but it's getting dangerous now. Oakland and Detroit are both within 2 of them. They could legitimately miss the playoffs.

I had no idea they'd fallen behind quite that far... I had to go check their schedule. That division was tied on August 25th. Oakland has dropped 9 GB in 16 games.
