Hey guys...
Thought we could use a thread to help one another out with purchasing new and used games. Now that the next gen consoles are out and the holiday season will soon be upon us, many new games are going to drop. We've been throwing 'reviews' in several different threads or making new threads for each game. I thought we might like to converge and discuss them as a whole. Whether you're on PS3, 360, PS4, XB one or even a wii, PC and Mac, this is a repository for what you're playing and how you rate it.

Let's try to do a 1-10 scale for each game. Take into account the following:

Storyline
Challenge
Replayability
Graphics
Online functionality
Downloadable content
AI/npc's
Price
Length of gameplay

You can use all or some of those as a guide to score the game. If there are other aspects you'd like to tell as about with your game, please do so. These are just suggentions.

Please note what system, (if necessary i.e. It being exclusive to a system) you're playing on and let us know what you think.

1. Sucks, I'd rather watch Brodie Croyle play as our starter. This game is dogshit.
2. Don't waste your time. It's obviously been programmed by a bunch of chimps with syphilis.
3. I'd rather eat tapioca pudding out of my grandmothers colostomy bag, then stick my tongue in her stoma.
4. Meh, there's really better stuff to do, (like waxing my pubes) but I was lazy.
5. This is kinda like purgatory. It's not the best place to be but it could be worse.
6. Not bad at all... It's like I just scored a BJ from my hot first cousin.
7. Entertaining as all hell, kinda like the feeling where you just drank enough not to puke and can still walk.
8. Buy this game, I'm super-cereal. It's got stuff that makes my nipples tingly.
9. HELL F'ing YEAH! I'd talk more about it but I'm gonna be locked in place for a week just playing this ****er.
10. This game is like godfather two and the empire strikes back joined forces to **** your face off with wow. I'm taking all of my PTO days and going on FMLA.

Many involve 1 on 1 fights against ships. Every ship has several systems working to power various functions. Each fight is a Rock Paper Scissors battle, of you taking out their systems with the aim of destroying their ship, with frantically micromanaging your crew to literally put out fires and damage sustained in a fight. Every fight is life or death, sometimes with the game throwing almost unfair wrenches into the game, like fights being near a star which continually starts fires in your ship.

Speaking of unfair, you are going to die in this game. A lot. It's incredibly hard to make it through to the boss, managing resources, hull damage, and just not dying. If your ship losses all hull health, it's game over. If your crew is boarded and killed, game over. If your oxygen systems get destroyed and everyone suffocates....you get the idea.

I love this game. I can't wait for any excuse I can find to pick it up. I have only been able to beat the boss once, and it was a fluke. Start this game on easy, because even at this level, the game is almost too punishing. Even if you think you have everything going in your favor, one wrong jump into an asteroid field against a menacing ship changes everything. Look past the MS Paint graphics, and you might find your favorite game of the year. I know I did.

Obligatory score 9.5/10.

Thanks for this man. I'm not huge on these types of games but I may check this out.

Cheap games? Steam is having its winter sale right now man! SWTOR is free as well but its been a long time since I played, it has some fun elements.

angerous now but it is not free or cheap :/ But it is only buy once to play. Same with guildwars 2 if you want to experience an insanely deep story world with MLG level PvP and RvRvR mixed in~

I literally started downloading archeage before i posted that message in here. Happy to see you support it. I was hoping dragon age would come out with better user reviews. People on pc seem to hate the controls for it.

Is elder scrolls online any good?

I played beta and it was straight up terrible. Since then I have heard it has improved and now seems to get mixed reviews. Ill wait for it to go f2p~

Try clear nail polish? I have no idea if that will work or not.. But it would make it harder for him to dig in..

As for the controllers. You can get custom controllers that you can program a couple buttons. It is why some people drop shot so well.

Shit I think bestbuy sells them now..

I suggest GuildWars 2. Fun game, no monthly fee, looks amazing.. I randomly go back and play once or twice a year.

Back on Path of Exile now..

Looking to play TERA again, it is an action MMORPG... Means if you want to dodge an enemy you have to dodge or get out of the way.. Same way with your attacks, if your aim sucks you are not going to hit your enemy.

Bought Grand Theft Auto IV for 5 bucks and all the downloadable content on Amazon. Getting ready for GTA5 for PC next month. Plus i never played a GTA game on PC.
