Miami over Cleveland. Let the offseason talk be about LeBron returning to South Beach.

No, they have/had a free run to the Finals (before facing a great team once there). Not to winning the championship like the Warriors did last year. There's a difference there and a pretty big one.

You said 'to the championship.'

I assumed you meant the road to the finals. The East does not have ONE team that's even considered good in the NBA.

The West has 3 teams: SA, GS and OKC.

Indiana was so terrible that even Demar shooting 10/32 wasn't enough to get them through. We'll be stuck with this joke forever now.

Honestly, you shouldn't let one negative thing cloud your judgement and prevent you from seeing the overall picture.

DeRozan played a very good game.

He contributed in other ways that were huge in helping the team win.

He was perfect at the line, the guy got a few steals, rebounds and blocks. He was hustling out there and there was one point in the game where he made a nice running block on a jumper outside the key. The guy even made a great dish pass on the fly underneath to JV for a nice jumper inside the key. How about that spin around move around Monte Ellis complimented with a sweet lay in. Those were a few things that spelled to me "big player making big plays in a big game." What else more can you ask for?

I also thought He helped slow down Indianas runs when we needed him to and was huge in shifting the momentum in the Raptors direction.

I knock him on being inconsistent with respect to his shooting. At one point, he was hitting his shots and then cooled down later and then started hitting again. He was streaky but still scored 30 points. 30 points is 30 points bro. I'm taking that anyday.

I thought the biggest play he made was getting the most important rebound at the end of the game. No way the Raptors win this game without DeRozan.

I think you're a bit too hard on DeRozan. No offense. Just take a deep breath and relax, dude has come through in the most important games, games 5 &7 of the series. Yeah he played more bad games than good but at least the games he played well were the most important games where we needed him to.

You are ****ing clueless. DeRozan played a horrendous basketball game yesterday. He missed 22 ****ing shots and played terrible defense for the game's entirety. If he didn't step foot on the floor (and his 32 shots went to other, better, more efficient options), the team would have beaten that shitty Pacers team by over 20 points.

The fact that fans like you actually believe this shit is why the organization is doomed to be stuck with this kind of awful basketball for the next 5 years. I hope LeBron completely exposes this stupidity for what it is if the Heat don't do it first.

DeRozan shot 32% that series (44/138). He had a negative WS/48, a negative BPM, and a negative VORP. Despite the fact that the Raptors probably win the series in 5 games if he didn't play it, he somehow gets the savior narrative from the media/fans because he scored 30 points on 32 shots. It's batshit crazy.

Lol a win is a win. It doesn't matter how you spin it.

At least I don't pick on one negative thing like bad shooting percentage and focus on it in detail while disqualifying all the other positive things he did. While I agree DeRozan isn't exactly the best defending option there, he did make some decent defensive plays yesterday though. I'm not exactly sure what game you were watching bro

You really gonna mention Lebron with DeRozan? Seriously. Come on man, we talkin about one of the best players in the world to an all-star shooting guard. Of course he is gonna ****ing expose him.

DeRozan is fine. He is a big reason why we won this series. Get it right man! Get it right!

Lol Im also not the one to blame for this organizations future decision making. It's way out of my control. Now I do hope we keep him at the right price but I'm not holding my breath for it to happen. I'm happy with this team as of now and I'm gonna enjoy this first round victory because I don't know how long it will last or if it will happen again sometime soon. It's good to be grateful, thankful for what has happened so far and to count the blessing that came our way. It was only 15 ****ing years you know.

I believe in good teams. Not just one guy.

Raptors could still keep DeRozan and Biyombo for next year and just expand on top of what they have.

In fact, that's what they should do. We could still sign a few vets that are playoff savvy at both the power forward and small forward positions. I think that'll help a lot in terms of increasing their chances of not only being a better regular season team but also making good playoff runs down the stretch.

Yes, they won the game because other players on the team were good enough to make up for DeRozan's awful 10/32 game.

No, he's the reason they almost lost it. He was disgustingly bad for the entire series and took away shots from far better options.

Nonsense. This is a basketball thread and involves talking about all the basketball teams that are still in the playoffs right now.

Raptors aren't gonna win a championship. Period. Bottomline.

I fully acknowledge where you're coming from and understand that. But never say never.

I haven't watched much of the Raptors of late but watching the game last night I was thinking to myself now I know why KCC bitches about DeRozan.

Bad on offense defense ?

Check this sh*t out bra:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbSC1rlq0qQ

Rejected! Get that sh*t outta here lol.....Look at that excellent job of recognition and athletic ability by DeRozan to get back there and make the defensive play

Here is another video that'll show you some good offense and a bit of defense, but mind you there were times where guys blew by him. I will acknowledge that and admit he is a bit of a defensive liability. But whatever man. Dude isn't perfect, we have a good defense as a team and one shouldn't judge him only based on his flaws only imo. I would recommend to pay attention to the 0:54, 1:24, 1:58, 5:13, 6:17 and 7:15 marks :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHJ0Mhc3FWE

*Ill even put up his stat line too:

30pts, 10/32 FG, 1/5 3s, 9/9 FT, 5reb, 2 assists, 3 stls, 2 blks and 1 turnover.

I'm surprised he had 1 turnover this game because in other games he was brutal at protecting the ball. At least he got that right and prevented the Raptors from tapping into Indianas strengths which is scoring in transition and getting points off turnovers. And his perfection at the free throw line could be seen as a difference. Look, he misses two of those, and it's a 1 possession game at the end and all Indiana would've needed was a 3 to tie it up and send the game to OT. Praise to DeRozan he helped secure the victory by having a good day at the line bro.
