Royals DON'T buy WS tickets at current prices - Page 24

I have a few friends that deal in the secondary market professionally here in KC. (Not scalpers, technically. These guys have offices and pay taxes.) I've been told by, literally, all of them not to buy until at least Monday. All three that I've called about tickets have told me they have them, but that no one is buying at current prices...even on StubHub. They say that by game day they expect prices to drop dramatically. One even saying he expects SRO to fall to around $250 and then for prices to increase incrementally from there. He basically said people are throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks at this point, and that nothing is sticking.

Again, I went to HS with 2 of these guys, so them not trying to stiff me isn't a surprise...even though it's basically what they do for a secondary income.

If you have the scratch to buy now, go ahead I guess. But if you're on a budget, I wouldn't rule out going to a game just yet.

If you bought from a season ticket holder, I'm pretty sure it gets refunded back to them. If you bought from the Royals, you can turn in a claim.

stubhub has a disclaimer when you purchase that if the game is not played all charges and fees will be refunded 100% within 48 hours

Generally, it will be automatically credited back to your credit card if the game isn't played.

Just got home...slightly hammered. Amazing game!! We waited it out in the parking lot. There were VERY few people selling tickets anywhere around the stadium. I talked to about 10 different "professional" scalpers and they were all saying no one is selling. I really think the internet is killing their game. The few that were selling were all asking $600 a pop all the way up until we went in. My buddy and I passed on some SRO's from Stubhub that were $350 around 5:30pm. Regretted it for the next hour as everything jumped and hung around $475 for the next hour or so. We basically just drank beer and refreshed the phone sitting right outside the LF gates. Almost said screw it and walked but ended up hitting the jackpot at about 6:55. We got 2 Loge section 314 row D for $452/each 10 minutes before the first pitch. Unreal seats and the wait was worth it!!!

Also, f$$K Strickland. What a pussy.

Were you able to use your phone to get in? I'd assume you had to if you bought them off of Stubhub.

Yeah, I called for a 3rd time to confirm that earlier today. And I was watching for a good hour while we were next to the gates waiting for prices to drop on stubhub...half the people going in had electronic tickets scanned from their phones.
