He's unremarkable. The entire league plays him up like he's the most dangerous guy in the league with the ball in his hands.

He looks pretty tame to me when I watch him on gameday.

He gets credit for fine-tuning his route running this offseason. It showed in the Cards preseason game. Let's not pretend his routes are better than Breaston's though. Breaston has only been playing WR for... oh, I don't know, his entire ****ing career, and once put up 1000 yards behind Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. His record speaks for itself.

OK great.

A pipsqueak with 21 career catches as a WR is still not even in the same galaxy as Steve Breaston.

Jamaal Charles moves the chains, I don't expect him to score TD's unless they are huge runs. Get inside the 5 and more often than not, someone other than Charles will carry the ball. That's a big reason his contract was so reasonable, RB's are a dime a dozen, and he isn't going to punch it in for ya.

... and then his knee was destroyed. The guy was disappointing last year, maybe he'll be better back in the slot.

he was disappointing last year because our Dog Shit QBs cannot distribute the ball so we will never have more than only 1 WR that breaks 1000 yards.

This isnt the Pats or Packers were you can have two 1000 yard WR and a guy that gets 800+ in a season.

We are lucky if Bowe has a 1000. If that.

When is 61 catches and 800 yards from your number two disappointing? Especially with Tyler Palko quarterbacking 4 games.

And he didn't play as the slot in Arizona. He said it himself. It was often Boldin in the slot and him out wide.

Quote:
“It’s funny, a lot of people are always talking about me being a slot receiver, but my whole career, I’ve been outside,” Breaston clarified. “Last year was my first year that I even attempted at being the slot.

“Even when I was at Arizona, Q (Anquan Boldin) was mainly in the slot. I played opposite of Larry (Fitzgerald) outside.”

You're making yourself look like a reerun on this issue.

Breaston has only established himself firmly in the NFL as a fantastic 2nd or 3rd WR for years. AND he proved last year that he could come back and play after that nasty knee injury.

Hell, and I'll bet he could STILL make more defenders miss in space than McCluster!

I don't get why some people are resorting to shitting on Steve Breaston just so they can calm the hate on McCluster. The midget turd isn't ****ing worth it.

This. I'm not a McCluster hater, but Breaston is EASILY better than McCluster and it's not even close.
