Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

Did Sanchise ever top 3 TD's and 300 yards?...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I don't want to hear the excuses.

There were plenty of options that were ignored to take Fisher and he needs to start living up to the pick because of it.
What's the problem man? Are you mad because we didn't take the guy you wanted? Draft picks are a crap shoot. Especially in shitty drafts.

However, don't sit here and say "Geno is just a rookie" and then say "no more excuses" in reference to Fisher.

What in the hell is wrong with some of you guys?

Jets 30, Houston 27. November 2010. 315 yards and 3 TDs.

That's the only one I could find. He had some other games where he threw 3 TDs, one being in the playoffs against the Patriots in 2011, but as far as I can see he never had 300+ and 3+ in any other game.

If that is truly what is happening...OK. But I agree with one poster on here who said that when Geno was playing bad in the preseason and the first couple of games, many of his supporters went into hiding. Now that he had one good game suddenly they reappear.

One thing we all should agree on....we won't really know if Geno Smith was another QBOTF we whiffed on for 2 years. By then the Alex Smith project will either be over and another topic that lights up The Planet, or many people will have to eat crow.

I'm hoping for the latter, but thus far afraid it is the former.

Irsay tanked it.

The guy was tweeting about drafting Andrew Luck in week 4. He knew what he was trying to do when they let Manning go.

He sabotaged his own team. Nice job at it too.

If Eric Fisher was a fourth round pick, he would have been benched by now.

Geno has been a huge reason the Jets (who many thought would be the worst team in football) are 2-1 and could have been 3-0

That's not even the point, though.

The point is that we spent the first pick in the draft to downgrade a non premier position.

Shouldn't you expect the first pick in the whole draft to come in and at least be kinda good right away?

Fisher flat put sucks and there were at least 15 players that would have been better picks.

Geno played like hot garbage in week 2. No sane human being would argue otherwise.

In week 1 he kinda got lucky.

He played well this week.

I don't hate Geno, but the love of this guy on this forum and this forum only is beyond reeruned. I actually really liked him and would have liked KC to grab him, but why does everyone love this guy like he sucks their dicks every night?

You guys pulled the same shit with Sanchez while he was riding a defense and running game as far as it could take him.
