If you are talking $ I totally agree.

That being said I see nothing in how Kap or Wilson plays that makes me think they will ever be Rodgers, Brees, Manning type gunslingers.

Both those guys have benefited from the exact type of support Smith has succeeded with. Defense and a running game. Yet they lead their teams to wins.

I don't think Smith is an elite QB or ever will be. I do think he is a smart, tough, athletic QB who with decent support and a not ****ed up shoulder has shown he can get shit done.

Nothing wrong with that.

It's a longshot, but maybe he's one of the .01% that slipped through the cracks like Brady and Warner.

Make some kind of effort, FFS.
Also, in terms of Murray or bray or whoever, I'd look more at 2016 but they'd be getting lot of chances that's for sure

Yeah, "meh."

What the ****? I'd love to "meh" the **** out of that. So disappointing...all we have is...one of the best QBs in the league...entering his prime.

Meh.

Spent more?

I get your sentiment but exactly what we are arguing is that they not make the same stupid mistake we made with Cassel.

So far it seems they arent in the mood to do so.

Edit: If you mean spent more as in the 2 2nd rounders + other picks then yes You are right about that.

They have drafted one a 5th rounder. The others are the same shit the others did. Herm spent a 3rd on a QB and actually had the balls to play him even though he ended up sucking.

No, there isn't. But I still don't really know what we have in him.

Is he going to be first half of '13 Smith or second half? If it's the former, he can eat dicks. If it's the latter, we're in really good shape.

People also think a QB has to be manning or Brady etc to be worth drafting.

Basically, if you can get Matt Ryan (who I'm not a huge fan of but point stands) you're doing great.

Smith is in the perfect system for him, but he still can't put a team on his back and will them to win when everything around him isn't perfect, like we've seen Brees and Rodgers do time and time and time again.

2015 is a time to take a chance to be great, and be great for a long time.
He has proven that he can win with a decent team around him, some good coaching, and lack of shoulder injury.

You act like his play hasn't elevated since day one and that's simply not true. He played better when the schedule got tougher.

People keep confusing the defensive collapse with Alex's play.

The defense got worse and he got better, not the other way around.

Im ok with trying and ending up with a guy like Ryan, Stafford, or I might be inclined to even give a guy like Andy Dalton some more time. At least they are trying.

They've brought in 4 new QBs in less than 2 years. What else could they have done?

Yea now just imagine if we had a real, actual, good QB.

We're really going to give them credit for Daniel at $5M per (****ing stupid) or Bray (dumpster diving)?
