Not just done with KC,done with the NFL

Yet another thread and I even went as far tonight that I gave away a very nice Chiefs coat and chiefs stocking cap at the party I was at.Also quit my fantasy football league and am renouncing the NFL as a whole.

Pro football is nothing more than pro wrestling only the stage is 50,000 times larger and the NFL just might get their Luck/Manning rematch and maybe even their Manning/Brady rematch.I ****ing hate to think this shit is rigged but at 51 I've seen much to much over the years and am done being made a fool of.

Oh and lastly this years pro bowl will be a fantasy draft, really, wake the **** up people we're watching another form of Hollywood where some of the actors are paid millions and some are just bit players.

I'm told that the league loves Ray Lewis. I wouldn't think that would trump Peyton, but I don't know, I'm just trying to follow the logic of the kooks who think the league is fixed.

A lot of times, great players/great teams make great comebacks and the nuts chalk it up to the NFL fixing it that way. Well, there's a reason some teams and players are considered great--because they pull off great stuff more than others do. That's why they are great. But according to the nuts, no one is really great--they are just concoctions of the NFL's manipulations.
Yeah, I wasn't saying I knew that stuff would happen because it was literally scripted or the NFL wanted those teams to win. I knew (well, was pretty confident) that stuff was going to happen because the NFL has created an arena league where the best QBs have a pretty decent chance to march down the field at the end of games. It just looks scripted/terribly predictable because the best QBs have the best chance to make the playoffs, so a lot of playoff games these days end in a similar fashion.

Sadly, it wasn't about the Chiefs defense being terrible, it was about the Chiefs' inability to keep scoring, despite scoring 44 points. They actually need more weapons on offense (and of course a healthy JC would help, too) so next time they can score 48 or 51 or whatever it takes. It's terrible football, but highly entertaining to the casual fan.

For the most part, the NFL has always been this way. There's a reason KC hasn't won a playoff game since Joe Montana was on their team.

Joe Montana never threw for 4tds and 370 yds w/no picks in a playoff gale for us, either.

Still dodging my question to support your narrative or what you have morphed mine into.

1. He does not make 42-yard kicks 90% of the time. You refuse to find out the actual % so just be ignorant with your assumption.

2. Completely wrong again. Nobody has to say he misses on purpose and nobody has said he did miss on purpose. That is until you just did.

3.Obviously you are not aware of his limitations. This whole discussion would be different had you just done what I asked you to do.

I can't communicate with you if all you're interested in having is a one-way conversation. Again, not a big deal at for you or me. Time to move on.

Rules emphasis has changed over the years, of course. That's not a conspiracy, that's a fact.

What hasn't changed is that teams with the best QB have always generally been the most successful. Trying to chalk that up to some sort of conspiracy would be akin to saying that God or the QB's parents are ultimately responsible for rigging NFL games.

my point, that you so obviously missed, is that we have never had a QB play as good in a playoff, so above his head lights-out, turning it on when we need it most in the postseason as Alex Smith did yesterday.

it didn't matter.

we had one of the most respected HCs in the league on the sideline.

Look, I understand you'll need to have RG and the entire cast of owners come out on a stage and admit that it happened before you let common sense and your eyes lead you to a rather obvious conclusion.

And don't tell me where, or where not, to get the evidence from. Just because you don't like the site, or the premise of the argument against a game you love, doesn't make the court document any less real.

In typical fashion, when the NFL was taken to court for cheating, they never said it sisn't happen, destroyed the evidence that would have perhaps proven the prosecution's assertion (how convenient!!), and they shifted the argument to "you got to see a game, that all we have to do." So the question was never answered, it was skirted. And while a perfectly legal tactic in our judicial system, the destruction of evidence was anything but legal. So if Roger had taken the tapes and locked them up in have been plenty safe, but no he destroyed the evidence.

You may be a lawyer or something, and I think that may be true, but in this case along there's plenty of evidence of a corrupt system. And that's good enough for me...

But that's fine, you can think all of this is crap, or mere coincidence, or one-off situations, but I think you're turning a blind eye because you want them to be innocent, so you're allowing the bar to be set at an unrealistically high level.

So have fun with it, but next time you pass our HoF QB you might want to remind him that he's a liar....

"(Id. (citation omitted).) Walsh provided at least eight videotapes
to the NFL, while the Patriots likewise furnished at least six
tapes to the league. The commissioner claimed that he ordered
the destruction of the videotapes to prevent their use by the
Patriots, even though the NFL allegedly had a legal duty to
preserve these items pursuant, inter alia, to the Sarbanes-Oxley
Act and the NFL’s own antitrust exemption.
"

"Accordingly, we need not, and do not decide, whether a
ticket-holder possesses nothing more than a license to enter and
view whatever event, if any, happens to transpire. Here, Mayer
undeniably saw football games played by two NFL teams. This
therefore is not a case where, for example, the game or games
were cancelled, strike replacement players were used, or the
professional football teams themselves did something
nonsensical or absurd, such as deciding to play basketball."

Yeah, it's always been a quarterback league, but now it's on steroids... people have posted QB and scoring records that have been broken several times in the past few years or that show 7 or 8 of the top 10 of a certain stat taking place within the past 5-10 seasons.

Frank Reich seemed to do the impossible at the time, of course in part because he was a backup, but what Luck did the other night didn't even seem all that surprising to me. Of course, comebacks like those are still not a common thing by any means, but it certainly seems like shootouts have become much more common, especially in the playoffs once it's good QB vs good QB (but, that's just off the top of my head... I'd be surprised if the numbers don't back it up).

Alex Smith played well in the 1st half of the game. In the 2nd half, he led your offense to 181 total yards and 13 points, 7 of which came off an interception in which the Chiefs started on Indy's 18 yard line.

By comparison, in the 2nd half Luck led his team, to 369 yards and 35 points, despite two potentially crippling interceptions.

The Colts won not because of some conspiracy, but because their team vastly outplayed the Chiefs in the 2nd half of the game.
