Hopefully, MLB fans watching on TV will forget about it and move on. In my opinion, players have no business picking the rosters for Home Run Derby. Its fun to watch and more importantly, it makes money for a kid’s charity.

Butler is in the All Star Game - this is what I feel Royals fans should focus on - just my opinion.

We're used to getting booed - no big deal.

Yes I do, but I think Cano will still be a Yankee next year Cano could have been "taken care of" with a couple of "high and tight" ones when he plays at the K next year and chances are the umpiring crew may not be able to connect the dots.

BTW, I don't blame the fans as much as I blame people like Kevin Keitzman and Ryan Lefevre who were more or less "egging" this on.

Because of the fans reaction, IMO the country's perception of KC has been lowered.

Oh yes, KC has made the news, but for the wrong reason. If you don't believe me watch ESPN and ESPN2 tomorrow. Oh yes, they will be talking about KC, but if you live in KC or like the city, I don't think you will like what they will be saying about KC fans.
I guarantee you that Mike Wilbon will be loving the Royals and Kansas City tomorrow. Tell your "Non-KC friend" to shove it. All of my Florida friends on facebook loved the fact that a Yankee turd was getting booed. BTW, why do you care what Yankee fans think?

F*** ESPN and the rest of the crybabies......

If there was a pro-bowl at Arrowhead, and Manning, Rivers, or (ha ha) Carson Palmer were in it.......we'd boo them as well.

It's called a rivalry people. And Cano just added another chapter to it - and faced the wrath of the KC fans.

It's not classless. It's not rude. It's a rivalry.

And it was poetic justice.

Look, I get that you think Prince Fielder is a better selection than Billy Butler. I don't really give a shit. This is the goddamn HR derby. A meaningless little event to warm up for the all-star game. All KC fans asked for is a freaking bone. Cano even PROMISED IT if a Royals hitter made it. Once Butler gets selected, he instantly changes he tune. Why? "cause I want to win".

Are you ****ing kidding me? Win? WIN WHAT? A trophy and even MORE money than you know what to do with. Go **** yourself with anti-freeze Cano. This isn't about winning or who would do better in the derby, THIS IS ABOUT GIVING THE LOCAL FANS WHAT THEY WANT! I'm sorry civilized folk from big cities like New York and St Louis can't understand this.

Best part about it was his Dad crying tears with him.

If Cano actually hit a few out than the crowd more than likely would have stopped. I think it just built up when he wasn't even getting close to hitting one out. The crowd started to feed off of it.

It would have been more awesome if he hit only 1 home run with one of those gold balls, and some kid threw it back on the field
