Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

OK who wants to go hunting from their couch instead of sitting for hours in a cold wet blind? All you need to do is rig up a mount and some stepping motors(I figure a decent set from a CNC machine should do!)
I can hear it now....'Are you playing video games on your iPad again???? No I'm hunting!' http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/...he-real-world/

http://m.cnsnews.com/blog/gregory-gw...ines-backorder
According to the gun review site, "Haus of Guns," backorders for the Magpul AR-15 30-round magazine ("PMAG") have surpassed one million. In a Facebook post dated today, January 9, Haus of Guns writes the following: "Had breakfast with a buddy who has reasonably close ties to the Magpul family. Word is the great PMAG panic backorder of 2012/13 has topped 1 million at Magpul HQ." Magpul is a designer and manufacturer of firearms accessories. The PMAG is one of their most popular products. It is a 30-round magazine designed for the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. Sales of firearms, ammunition and firearms accessories have surged in recent weeks over fears that the Obama administration will soon implement stricter gun laws. Dianne Fenstien (D-Calif.) plans on introducing legislation that would ban military-style weapons and high-capacity magazines. Because the PMAG holds 30 rounds, it would fall under the definition of "high-capacity" in the Feinstein bill. But, before any such legislation occurs, gun enthusiasts are scouring the nation to get their hands on what could be some of the last manufactured PMAGs. |

I miss the times when trying to find ammo wasn't like going on a ****ing treasure hunt. Oh and...... Top Ten Reasons Why Men Prefer Guns Over Women - And here we go... 10. You can trade an old 44 for a new 22. 9. You can keep one gun at home and have another for when you're on the road. 8. If you admire a friend's gun and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out a few times. 7. Your primary gun doesn't mind if you keep another gun for a backup. 6. Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo. 5. A gun doesn't take up a lot of closet space. 4. Guns function normally every day of the month. 3. A gun doesn't ask , "Do these new grips make me look fat?" 2. A gun doesn't mind if you go to sleep after you use it. And the Number One Reason Why Men Prefer Guns over women... 1. You can buy a silencer for a gun!

Sorry, no leads yet. My father and I are both looking for them. You can buy the components seperately, but it cost around 160 instead of 100. The barrel in the link is a Chrome Moly, not Chrome lined. It's not a huge deal, C Moly's are more accurate, but you need to take preventive measures to avoid wear and corrosion (oil). Chrome lined barrels are tougher, but can be less accurate. |
