Ronda Rousey vs. Floyd Mayweather who would win?

Almost everyone agrees that if boxing rules were used Mayweather would win. No contest.

So here is the rules for our hypothetical fight:

Either no rules or UFC rules.

I think Rousey gets him into an armbar in the 1st round and its over.

Right.
How do you defend a takedown? Can they even be defended?

We aren't talking about floyd fighting them either, so why did you bring it up? What we're talking about is whether ronda would be able to get within 3 feet of floyd without getting tagged harder than she's ever been hit in her life, and the reality is she would never be stupid enough to even try it.

Floyd would have a huge power advantage just because of the difference in gloves.

But what defense would have have against any submission? To have a solid defense you have to work on defending these moves and repeat them until muscle memory takes over.

Hell, Tank Abbott might have the hardest punch ever in the UFC but he never won a tournament because he never put in the mat time to do much more than stand up and really basic take downs. I think every match he lost was to someone smaller than him other than the one time he got dropped...
You just compared a 49-0 Boxer Who has been undefeated for nearly 20 years, to Tank Abbott.. A guy that has absolutely no idea what a jab was....

And to top it all off, Abbott was fighting fairly well rounded men who matched up physically.

And that undefeated boxer for 20 years would be fighting a smaller woman who he is much bigger, faster, and stronger, than. And to top it all off she's fairly new to the sport and has very few skills outside of judo...

Exactly.

It's not like she has no defense.

We're talking about the rules being stacked in her favor. She can, and knows how, to use an arsenal on him and all he's got is stand up.

Even in boxing punching power is not the be all and end all. It isn't in MMA either.

Knowing she can't open herself up he'd probably be down in the first 30 seconds and he'd have little to no defense for it...

I'm a huge fan of Ronda's, but every time there's ever been a "Hey, let's see if the women can keep up with the men!" moment in sports, it's always ended embarrassingly for the women. I can't imagine this would be any different.

No, I was pointing out that a person with far superior punching power doesn't just maul someone with more skill.

A lot of responses have been related to how hard Floyd can punch compared to even the most skilled female fighter. And they don't list it as a huge factor - it's being touted as the reason one fighter would destroy another.

With Floyd's quickness and how he's mastered his craft he probably would have been one hell of an MMA fighter. Had he gone in to that years ago instead of boxing he might have been one of the best in the world. He's just a freak athlete.

Now, in Floyd's defense he might be the one man to swing on a woman and have no problem giving that punch 100%...

unreal. To begin with, ronda is pretty far from having an "arsenal". She's had 12 pro fights against middling competition. As the competition rises in her area of the sport, she's eventually going to get exposed. I mean I like her and all, she's marketable, smart, and good looking, but there are some very big reasons she's stiff arming the borg. She's got to make hay while the sun's shining, and I get that. But you guys with this "floyd would have no defense" crap don't know wtf you're talking about. She very simply does not have the strength or speed necessary to get inside on a bmf like floyd. Just because he doesn't knock guys out on the regular doesn't mean he can't. He's a calculating fighter who practices black code fighting because it wins him a shitload of fights. His defense in the ring is probably unparallelled at this point, and he'd beat up that girl like she was his stepdaughter.
