This could all be very well true, and I love Mahomes, but the last 2 plays in regulation before the FG were good calls and guys were open and Patrick didn't pull the trigger... It is still hard for me to believe and I think it will drive him to be even better.

I think Reid relinquished half his play calling duties so he could focus his time on his true passion: NBC Sports broadcast production.

The article tries to paint a picture that Bieneiemy messed up with a "doomed pass to Hill", but here is what Mahomes said:

“We called a play that, we were trying to get someone over the middle quick,” Mahomes said. “And then I was supposed to throw the ball away. I got a little greedy there and tried to get it to Tyreek to get a touchdown.”

That was similar to what Reid said during halftime before he did the politically correct approach after the game.
