I don't see Beasley as a RDE. He added weight for the combine and tested extremely well, but was another guy that was ran at to neutralize and is only about 240. Not sure where I could play him unless ots a complete transformation to put him at OLB.

IRL, I would have taken a swing at signing Hardy to get him from a divisional rival to swing the balance of power in the division.

off topic a bit, but i love reading the falcons forum since pioli arrived...sounds so familiar

they're super pissed for not trying with hardy, and yesterday they re-signed some mediocre DE who was an integral part of their terrible defense, and had a complete meltdown about it

almost felt like home...

That's why teams fail. They don't make the obvious moves that would vastly improve their teams. Adding a Hardy to that team opens up everything else.

They can't all be boyscouts.

This pick is a tough one for me. The Jets have done great work to just stack their line-up this off-season. The Jets should take this opportunity to look to the future and take a risk on a high potential pass-rusher.

The New York Jets select Danielle Hunter, OLB, LSU

With off-the-charts athleticism, explosiveness and character and given the opportunity to develop behind the Jets current starters, I think Hunter has every chance to succeed in this situation.

Damn - if Denver gets Bud Dupree at 28 that would not be good for us.

He'd be a defensible pick for us at 18 even with Houston/Ford/Hali all on board. He'll be a 10-14 sack/season guy in the right system and could do it as early as his rookie year. Nasty talent.

Not enough people recognize the awful stench of Scott Pioli in their bitterness.

If I'm looking to procrastinate later, perhaps I'll make an account and start evangelizing.

they don't recognize the early warning signs...

though i thought giving $25 mill to tyson jackson to produce the worst defense in the nfl would have been a giant red flag
