the front sevens we have to face in the first four weeks

Titans - Run a 3-4 now, this might be the most underrated front 7 in the NFL nobody is talking about

D-Line
Ropati Pitoitua
Sammie Lee Hill
Jurrell Casey

LBs
Derrick Morgan
Wesley Woodyard
Zach Brown
Kam Wimbley

Derrick Morgan is going to beat whoever we put on the right side of the line all day. Jurrell Casey is going to manhandle Jeff Allen and those MLBers are going to blitz the shit out of the gaps. This is going to be a horrible matchup of finesse and power.

Broncos

D-Line
Derek Wolfe
Slyvester Williams
Terrance Knighton
Demarcus Ware

LBs
Von Miller
Nate Irving
Some Scrub

I hate the Broncos, and I don't want to say a good thing about this team but I don't see what offensive lineman we have that will stop any of these guys. I guess if you're in the camp that Derek Wolfe and Slyvester Williams are overrated/done nothing, but we will have literally scrub players trying to block them. They at least have to play a scrub at ROLB because Trevathan is hurt, that's the silver lining I guess. I still think this is the easiest front 7 we have to play out of the first four.

Dolphins -

D-line
Cam Wake
Randy Starks
Earl Mitchell
Olivier Vernon

LBers
Wheeler
Misi
Ellerbe

it didn't matter who is starting at tackle for us here because we are absolutely going to lose this matchup no matter what. Wake and Vernon will feast on Fisher + Scrub/Stephenson/Whoever they want put out there. We are are screwed in the short pass/flats/dump off game because the LBers are rangey coverage guys that just run to the flats.

New England
D-line
Ninkovich
Wilfork
Tommy Kelly
Chandler Jones

LBers
Jaimie Collins
Mayo
Hightower

I guess this is the worst of the four front 7s but Wilfork will line up over Zach Fulton and require that entire side of the line to block him, so it's moot lol.

I don't see anywhere really where our offensive line has an advantage the first four weeks. Poor Fisher has to block some really good pass rushers lol

I disagree. It's not a cluster**** if this is a continuing philosophy going forward.

Devaluing offensive lineman. Give young unproven guys a chance to compete
Draft players who play high positional value spots and stick to your board
Don't flinch on big contracts like we did Dwayne Bowe
Don't throw money at free agents if you're not in a cap position to do so

I didn't like the way we approached 2013. This season we're approaching it the right away. We walk into next season with a healthy cap situation and a shitload more picks. Like I've said before, we sink or swim with the draft and Dorsey's value pickups. If Dorsey's picks don't pan out, we sink. If they start to show progress, we swim. I'm a lot more worried about Dorsey's ability to draft than I am his approach in 2014, though I'm much more encouraged about the prospects from this year's draft haul.

Eli is a terrific QB. If the dumb ****ers in the front office would get it through their head that they have to give him a running game. One of the easiest positions to upgrade through the draft and they decide that Rashad Jennings is going to be their top gun?

Nice take Zilla. Hope you're right about it being more about continued philosophy than simple reaction.

So as long as you give Eli Manning a dominant running game, more dominant WRs than they already have, a great OL, and a great pass rushing defense, he's a great QB.

Will we have a top ten pick? I say yes. What do you do with it? Draft a WR, tell Alex to walk and turn the beast Bray loose? Oh hell yeah!

They have a terrible o-line. And they have a god awful run offense.

But yes, if he had at least an average run offense, I think he'd be back to normal. I predicted the same for Big Ben and was right. And no, I don't think just anybody can do that. Not every QB would thrive in an offense where they have to complement a running game or run a balanced offense.

Easy now, not sucking on a Manning is a berating offense in these QB guru parts. After all that non call followed by a miracle catch had nothing to do with him being a SB champion. Eli is proof that there are QBs that can catch lightning in a bottle for a season and then never quite find it again.

Seriously? He led an extremely efficient offense for 2 playoff runs. And made some huge time throws even if you throw the play you're talking about out.

The two areas of the team… WR and offensive line the Chiefs neglected to address this offseason are already blowing up in their face.

The fate of this season was sealed in March/April/May.
