Rookies suck sometimes. Bowe didn't do shit his rookie year. Charles didn't excel until his 3rd year. How long did it take DJ to figure it out?

You need to take a deep breath, then maybe a nap.

995 yards is shit?

Bowe was the only bright spot on that shite-ass 2007 team.

Complete opposite of Fissure.

During his rookie year, Bowe was 5 yards away from a 1,000 yard receiving season.

It's not about figuring it out pal or even Fisher making mistakes. It's about a LT who is physically dominated. Give me all the experience in the world, I still won't be able to block Demarcus Ware. Tell me, how is experience supposed to help him here?

Ok I might be wrong about Bowe. I just remember him taking forever to score a TD.

But anyway - I agree Fisher may well turn out to be shit. We definitely know he won't be another Willie Roaf. But 3 years is generally the test to know for sure if he's a bust. I guess even Dorsey had a pretty good year at NG for SF last year.

They honestly might not wait that long. I really don't see them letting Alex Smith take blind hit after blind hit every game.

My take on all this was that he came from a smaller college which didn't have a stellar, or even any, HGH program. Hence he was a "project". Once he got a full season + off-season of standard NFL "supplements" under his belt - his frame would fill out to what the Chiefs expected.

Obviously if he's still struggling mightily this preseason that throws that whole theory into doubt.

Well we're pretty much tanking this year anyway. Maybe they'll use pulling Fisher as leverage with AS in contract talks.

A 1.1 should never be a project.

Look, I hope he can get better but I seriously doubt it. The last thing I want to consider in the 15 draft is to take a LT.

May God have mercy on us all if that happens.

But that's exactly what they said when they picked him over Joeckel - that he was less polished but would eventually be better.

Is Joeckel doing anything right now? Are we going to cherry pick the one or two guys in that epically shitty draft then blame Dorsey for not having 20-20 hindsight?

Physical talent as in he's a natural athlete. If you want to shit on his game film, that's fine, but don't paint him as this unathletic offensive lineman. He isn't. His lack of strength when it comes to defending the bull rush so far this preseason has already been explained. The surgical impact on his shoulder is temporary and here's to him adding some muscle. He has a tall, long left tackle frame with good thickness but still room to add weight throughout.

Do you care to explain why he couldn't stop the same bull rush in 2013? Because he didn't have surgery then.

The excuses for this guy are unbelievable.
