Wow, you followed the Illini message boards way too much and seem to have some leftover butthurt. That's just weird for a fan of a blue-blood program. It's like me worrying about what a Southern Illinois fan said about the Illini.

At the outset, we were pissed that Self left and felt Weber was an X and O guy that could have success with the roster left to him and capitalize on that success with good recruiting. We had the Final Four run and then it fell off a cliff. We then figured out that he was awful at recruiting and he was in fact a shitty in-game coach. The Eric Gordon de-commitment was pretty much the nail in the coffin for most fans.

Only the nutjobs in the Illini fanbase are bringing forth the accusations. Most are still pretty satisfied with what Groce has been able to do so far. We wanted Cliff, but it wasn't a surprise that he would choose KU over us at this point. We are still in the middle of a rebuild.

Maybe we learned through experience that Weber sucked, dipshit. He did seem like a pretty good coach when he was at SIU and he had good results early on, albeit with the team Self left him. We learned pretty quickly after the Self players were gone that he sucked pretty bad.

Bringing something up 8 years after the fact is the pure definition of butthurt. Especially considering his team has since won a NC and is a contender for it every year. You would think some people could just enjoy their team's success.
