Heh... Wally at halftime is right, URI is getting a lot of easy shots, they just need to make a few of them. Duke's cooled off a bit overall, but that 6/13 from 3 might be the killer if they keep draining them.

Better defense and not taking stupid fouls would help, too... definitely aren't playing smart on that end.

Here’s a reason for optimism for K State fans:

Deservedly, UMBC’s coach and star player have been on tv pretty much nonstop. I don’t know how they have hardly any time to prep for K State today.

Yeah, almost as dumb as "it's never happened, so it'll never happen" is assuming "it happened, so it'll continue happening"... especially with a 2 day turnaround.

Until last night, 16s were still losing by an average of 25 points a game, which hasn't changed in over 30 years.

It's possible we look back on it as the beginning of a new level of parity, but I'd say it's more likely it could be another 5 or 10 years before seeing another win from a 16 seed.

Sure, UMBC could pull off another historic upset - but Weber and the Cats have no excuse not to take care of business tomorrow with or without Wade.
