I think it might be more interesting to talk about WHY the best pizza you ever ate was so good. A list of names is one thing. You can make a bucket list. But knowing what aspects of a pizza are extraordinary gives a lot more information.
For Racanelli's it's the crust. Perfect NY style crust, char and chew and crispiness, like a piece of artisan bread. And they put basil on the table alongside the pepper and cheese. For Talaynas it a tossup between the spices in the sauce and the crispiness of the pepperoni. Deep dish with big chunks of flavorful tomato and the perfect mix of Italian spices. A substantial dose of good thick stringy mozzarella, then the pepperoni and Italian sausage broiled to a fine char. Then I already expounded the virtues of Godfather cheese.

Alright, so it might not have been a pizza pizza, but BJs does an amazing calzone with artichoke that is worth the price. If you can get it with a nice apple cider or maybe some Shocktop you will be in pizza paradise for a little while.

In the food court (all of ours are outside), they offer cheese, pepperoni and "everything" pizza with a different and slightly thicker crust. Both are good a value, so it's just a matter of "mood", IMO. |
