Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

Now if the thread was labeled Alex vs EJ Manuel this may have some merit. I'd be more disappointed in not taking him. That coming from an Alex cum slurper according the 5 year olds in this forum.

Alex - 0 INTs

Geno - 3 INTs in one quarter alone that cost his team the game.

I said before this team would win 6 games regardless of who is QB, that statement included Cassel, the team is good.

And I hope the fans run often and have a good diet, because Smith is going to give you a heart attack at this rate..
He had games like that in 2011. Beat the Saints in the playoffs. The Catch III. He has had many games in the last two seasons that were not pretty. But he was also clutch when it counted. He will never be Aaron Rodgers, but he's a decent QB.

The promising thing is....he isn't that bad and only stands improve with more time with the players around him and hopefully improved blocking.

It is just nice having someone not do a handful of things that are ****ing awful.

I am a lil troubled that he is so quick to give up in the pocket it sort of reminds me of Gabbert when he was at Mizzou...also his ability to make throw when he starts going towards a sideline is suspect...if he even makes the attempt.

Having said that I think he gets better as time goes on.

Good thing we didn't draft him. Over 100 yards in the 1st already.

Does Alex Smith make this throw or curl into a ball and take the sack?
