Because life is mean and nobody is guaranteed a happy ending.

I realize you think this woman was the only one there for you, but damn man. She lied to you, and your low self esteem and shitty predicament doesn't excuse that kind of behavior. She's may have been there for you in a time of need, but I don't think you should trust her at all at this point, based on what you've said. And no offense, but you don't sound like you're really in a position to nail down a long term relationship. And that's OK. Get yourself right in the head and make some kind of ****ing progress on yourself before you ever even consider something like this. For ****'s sake, don't move in with a headcase nut who may or may not be in another relationship. There's simply no good that can come from that kind of shit. That's not the way to get your life back on track, bud. You're never going to exercise your demons and get on with life if you keep putting yourself into shitty no-win situations like that.
