Mizzou has better dance steps. And a bigger chip on their shoulder, but not by much. It's kind of sad. They leave their conference and their identity behind. Anderson abandoned them for Arkansas. They abandoned their longtime conference home for 30 pieces of silver. Pinkel abandons his wife for the bottle. But they hide their loss behind a sense of false bravado. But, by God, they can dance. Little dances. Seems like Big Dances escape them.

MU has won fruit and sweetener bowls and played in what was pretty much a national semi final game in football. To push athletics in all areas is going to take a more balanced foe.

Looks like KU may have received the better QB?
Notre Dame QB Rees jailed in police confrontation Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees has been arrested and jailed on a preliminary felony charge following a confrontation with officers who were trying to break up a house party off campus early Thursday, police said. Rees, 19, was arrested on charges of resisting law enforcement, felony battery to law enforcement, minor consumption and public intoxication, according to police. South Bend police had received a call about a loud party at about 12:30 a.m. on Notre Dame Avenue, an off-campus area that is home to many Notre Dame students, South Bend police Capt. Phil Trent said. Officers found a "madhouse of people" drinking and congregating outside a home, enjoying the warm night, he said. "It was a nice night, they were drinking, they're having a loud time, which is the reason we're there." As officers approached, five or six people hopped a fence and led police on a chase, Trent said. The officers caught up with the group and used their hands to corral them, but Rees "actively resisted," Trent said. "It wasn't terribly violent, but it was enough to be considered resisting," he said. One officer suffered a minor scrap and "had the wind knocked out of him" while trying to stop the group, Trent said. Police also arrested Notre Dame linebacker Carlo Calabrese on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. He was released after posting $150 bond. Rees, of Lake Bluff, was being held without bond until the county prosecutor's office decided on formal charges, police said. Rees started 12 of 13 games as the Irish went 8-5 last season after starting four games as a freshman in the 2010 season. He was among four players competing during Notre Dame's spring practices for the starting quarterback spot this coming season. “The university is aware of this incident and is confident that it will be handled in a prompt and professional manner through the criminal justice system,” Notre Dame spokesman Dennis Brown said in a statement. “Internal discipline is handled privately, in accord with our own policies and federal law.” Calabrese, 20, was a backup linebacker who played in every game last season after starting eight games as a sophomore during the 2010 season.

New Big 12 Commish? = Stanford AD (offered anyway)
The Big 12 has offered its commissioner's job to Stanford athletic director Bob Bowlsby, multiple conference and industry sources told ESPN.com on Wednesday night. The Big 12 has been searching for a replacement for Dan Beebe, who was fired last year. Chuck Neinas has been serving as the interim commissioner. A source with knowledge of the situation said late Wednesday night that Bowlsby is expected to accept the job and a formal announcement from the conference could come as early as Friday. Bowlsby was in Phoenix the past few days as the Big 12 and Pac 12 meetings overlapped. Bowlsby has a strong relationship with Pac 12 commissioner Larry Scott. Bowlsby was on the search committee that discovered Scott, with the aid of search firm executive Jed Hughes who has handled both searches for the Big 12 and Pac 12 commissioner's jobs. Hughes was at a different firm for the Pac 12 search firm than he is for the Big 12 search. Bowlsby has been highly respected by his Pac 12 colleagues, and sources said he had a strong endorsement from Scott. Bowlsby also was influential in the Pac 12 negotiating a new television agreement that will show all its games next season on a number of networks, from ESPN, to Fox, to the new Pac-12 network. Bowlsby also is a former chairman of the NCAA men's basketball committee. Bowlsby became Stanford's athletic director in spring 2006 after serving in the same capacity at Iowa from 1991-2006. He is highly respected within the NCAA and with the United States Olympic Committee after serving on its board of directors. The Big 12 is on the verge of finalizing a new television contract, and the league exhibited a strong sense of stability at its league meetings this week. The league lost Missouri and Texas A&M to the SEC, but replaced those schools with tradition-rich West Virginia and football power TCU to maintain a 10-team format. Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas have continued to pledge allegiance to the conference. If Bowlsby accepts the Big 12 offer, he likely would ascend to a strong position amid the top three power six commissioners along with the Big Ten's Jim Delany, the SEC's Mike Slive and the trailblazer Scott.

Maybe the three of you ought to get your collective shit straight. I've stated my source, and apparently she was an idiot. Jump their asses, dipshit. At least I retracted. Actually, I'm going to say two against one, and you're the assclown who's wrong on this one.
