Oubre has gotten mad minutes lately. Tough asshat game for him today.

Cliff doesn't have much offensively (although it was far better today) and his effort hasn't been there.

Svi is 17, not very bulky, and the game kind of got ahead of him.

What am I missing here? Either they are under achieving or Self is failing to coach them up, motivate them to reach their full potential. I'm new to this thing but it seems to me to make no sense. I know Self is a great coach so what is the issue? He's not using the right technique on these guys?

Yes. NBA teams don't draft based on college production, they draft based on potential.

For some guys, it clicks in earlier than others (see Wiggins/Embiid last year). For some guys, it takes longer (the Morris twins were a ****ing mess in year 1 for example, but they become elite in year 2/3 and are now very productive NBA players). Talented freshmen struggling at the NCAA level is not exactly a new phenomenon.
