It's unlikely that it would work, but if there's any time for the fans to come together and boycott something, this is it. If everyone just refuses to go to games or watch those weeks, maybe it'd at least send a message.

He's a goddamn ****ing baby.... he will always let shit fall apart instead of compromising or even listening. If he was running DirecTV, they would have like 4 channels. And I'm sure there are times when you have to let shit fall apart, but goddamnit.

Maybe the IOC caves, but I'd be all for a year of amateurs if it meant a new commissioner (and of course it wouldn't).



On that note, Marchand speared a guy earlier and I thought, huh, the NHL refuses to do what's necessary to prevent avoidable injuries by handing out real suspensions and fines, but oh noes, what if someone theoretically gets hurt in the Olympics?!?!

We shouldn't boycott the NHL. Everybody wants to blame this on Bettman but the IOC is completely unreasonable and has been raking in a tonne of cash off the backs of the NHL owners.

It is a shitty outcome but I'd put the blame more on the IOC than the NHL. It'll be interesting to see what happens to players like Ovechkin, who would have his owner's permission to go, and those with no permission.

The most important thing was to prevent the Islanders from making the playoffs. Now for one point tomorrow against the falling Blue Jackets, and they have a decent chance at a playoff series win. And Auston Matthews got #40... if only he could end the season like started it, he could tie Crosby for the league lead.


Zero Canadian teams made the playoffs last season, 5/7 this season.
