Yep. Alabama isn't even in the running. It is pretty much Texas or WSU. Just heard Smart turned down the Texas job though. So I expect them to come at Marshall hard.

Same. I know the Marshall's from a casual social setting, but I have friends in that setting that know him very well - ie. their Families vacation together. He told me that very same comment last night - UT or play out next season at WSU, which could be a Elite 8/Final Four type team. Apparently, he's also very interested to see if the Indiana job would become available next season. The IU fans hate Crean

Ya been told if Offered Texas its 50/50 that he takes it. I did hear the IU for next season as well as he may hold out to see if Roy retires from UNC next year.

Take it for what it's worth, but the Westwood one broadcast of the WSU IU game said that basically there was no way Crean would be fired. Not that they know ****all about the situation, but it is what they said.

Additionally, unless there is some inroads into a big recruiting pool, Marshalls job at WSU is better than what IU could offer him. IU has had success, but it's been A LONG time ago. And there have been a lot of coaches NOT achieve success there. So it's not like he's stepping into a super successful program.

Damn. UT moves fast. Did Marshall go down there? I haven't heard anything about Roy. That man be old but quite frankly, he looks a lot better than he has in recent years.

I'd think long and hard before I accepted UNCs job because they're about to get shellacked by the NCAA. I'd need a pretty bulletproof contract. Heel fans are likely to be pretty restless after their punishment is up.

Just heard that Bama is flying in to talk to Marshall today. Still not worried about them but that is what I am hearing.
