From what I've read he was the 2nd TE on most boards.

Its not the player's fault he was selected. As A Chiefs fan, I want him to succeed as much as possible....I too would like to see him produce like Larry Centers.

I too sense some vaginal sand on the thread.

What is wrong with you? You suck. As a Chiefs fan, you should want all our players to succeed whether or not you like them or where they were picked in the draft.

Exactly, who in the hell roots for our players to fail? Donk and Raiders fans?

Someone should bump this every time he does something positive.

The curiosity factor alone was worth the second round pick.

We know that Saunders is a creative OC with an attack mentality. We also know that Wilson was is a highly rated TE because of his downfield receiving ability. Plus, Vermiel has also eluded to the need for a player like Wilson to open a whole new area of the playbook. I'm hoping Kris Wilson becomes a thorn in the side of Donkey and Faider fans for years to come.

I wish I could post the link to Rick Gosselin's top 100 (I can, but it does not work. It did for 1 day, and I printed out a copy that I am going to go off of here.).

Many here consider Gosselin to be the best of the best with regards to knowledge about the draft. And many here declared most of our draft picks to be reaches.

From my printed out copy, here is where Gosselin had our top three draft picks ranked in his pre-draft top 100...

#47 Junior Savaii
#53 Kris Wilson
#79 Keyaron Fox

So from Gosselin's top 100, it appears we did quite well this past weekend.

I'm looking forward to seeing all three of these guys play.

you guys dont get it. The pick only makes sense if they dump gonzalez in the next two years. Or they will waste him at fullback.

I'd settle for a Daryl Johnston, Leroy Hoard, Mike Alstott, Jim Kleinsasser, Jason Dunn clone though.

I watched Wilson (and Fox) in the Senior Bowl game a couple of nights ago. Wilson did a nice job in that game. His blocking was pretty good, and he was open nearly every pass pattern he ran. Never was thrown too, but he was open.

Having Wilson and Gonzo as dual TE's gives a different dimension than Dunn and Gonzo at the TE spots. Wilson will be a receiving threat (besides goalline situations) all of the time.

And, if you remember, Ray Lewis said that the Ravens knew the Chiefs were going to run, and where they were going to run when Dunn was on the field. To me, this is the reason Wilson was drafted.

Based on quotes from Vermiel I would have to say you "don't get it". There are whole schemes they want to use that they don't use today because they didn't have a second downfield receiving threat at TE. Second, how is Wilson a waste if he develops into Richardson's successor? It sounds like he has all the right measureables and skills.

I'm happy with the draft this year. Did we fill every need? NO.. Did we really think we were going to fill every need? NO...

The veteran players on the roster now in those positions of need are just going to have to buck up and do their job better.
